@nickshirleyy There is no reason that project shouldn’t be complete unless the money hasn’t all been spent yet. If they blew that 20 million and it’s still not complete you know they are stealing our tax dollars
@chamath Yea I hear there are changing the grading system too. We were used to an A being 90-100 but I heard they changed it from 80-100 to qualify for an A.
@EconguyRosie Well the major housing markets like Los Angeles have already had a 10-15% decline in equity and if they raise interest rates to 10% over the next 20 years we should have a deflated market giving way to more affordability
@EricLDaugh I say good, it was stupid to offer reparations for such a thing anyhow. I just hope the money won’t get blown on bullshit NGO’s who will turn around and squander those tax dollars like they do with every other altruistic program they come up with like the homeless industrial comp
@chamath This isn’t surprising to me. Gavin never should have been granted the power of governorship. Just because he’s Nancy’s nephew does not make him qualified to run the state.
@nickgerli1 We are already there believe it or now. Secular markets will continue to trade sideways while the bull markets get hit another 2-6% and the major markets remain stagnant. It will be unfortunately higher for longer with home prices and interest rates from here though I’m affraid.
BREAKING - A massive taxpayer-funded scam has been uncovered in California, where care companies pay homeless people enrolled in Medi-Cal, the state’s taxpayer-funded healthcare program, for their Social Security numbers to file fraudulent claims.
