@Patryn23@RocketLab Elon isn't landing Starship on Mars period until the Planetary Protection Protocols are changed. The US electing to ignore PPP would be a very bad signal to the rest of the world. Please note that the Chinese are currently playing by the rules.
@RocketLab I looked at your mission website. If you are using Electron as the launch vehicle, am I correct in believing that you are not bringing back all 30 tubes? Also, I don't see any method of fetching the tubes other than the rover coming to you.
@Breakfast_Fan@rocketrepreneur@SciGuySpace@ajamespala@DJSnM They can argue that all they want, but the fact remains that neither of them have the authority or seniority to do much about it. That said, I seriously doubt either SLS or Orion will be cancelled before Artemis 3. SLS Block 1b may get cancelled.
@SciGuySpace@DJSnM My preferred near term solution is to use a Starship stack as the launch vehicle for Orion in place of SLS. The Ship section would be expended putting Orion to TLI, and Super Heavy would be recovered as per normal.
@yeahnaa333@mikelking@HeidiOCanada Considering how much attention is paid to Musk, you could be forgiven for thinking he is the only rich person giving gobs of money to parties or candidates. You should aim your anger at SCOTUS.
@HeidiOCanada Highly unlikely. The only illegal thing he has attempted so far is that $47 for voting. Since that idea never came to reality, I suspect the FEC and the few adults still at the RNC clued him in to that fact. I would also point out that he was not requiring Trump votes.
@SpcPlcyOnline It would be really helpful to those of us who are not lawyers if you could explain why this does not need investigated but SpaceX's barge landing did need investigated. Does SpaceX need to start filing more vague flight plans?
@MichaelStone@SierraSpaceCo@joroulette That's a fascinating story. Very unexpected. I figured BO would buy ULA, since there is quite a but of synergy and cost savings to be had if they did buy it.
@elonmusk@WSJ I'm glad WSJ got it wrong yet again regarding the $45M per month. While I disagree with your endorsement of Trump, I definitely agree with your right to endorse him. I don't understand why you endorsed him since he is against everything you supposedly stand for.
@dc10023@charliebilello A Starlink IPO would be an incredibly stupid thing to do. The only thing dumber would be buying Starlink stock until there is at least one other launch vehicle capable of handling Starlink satellites.
@robert_zubrin@thesheetztweetz Really, Bob? Then I guess we ought to not spend money on a lunar program, or Mars, or solar system exploration. After all, there are plenty of other uses for that money.
@elonmusk This probably a bit before your time, but to quote Barretta: if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. His crime was illegally influencing an election.
