The left has been saying repeatedly that the tariffs will lead to additional costs being passed down to us the consumers.
My question is why don’t they ever apply that same logic when they are screaming about raising corporate taxes on businesses?

BREAKING: Egypt is now officially entering the Saudi-Houthi war, with at least two Egyptian Air Force C-130H transport aircraft reportedly landing at King Fahd Air Base in Taif this morning, after Egypt’s National Defence Council, chaired by President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, pledged “all necessary and possible forms of support” to Saudi Arabia, per Reuters.
One of the C-130Hs reportedly left Egypt with its transponder switched off.
Taif sits in western Saudi Arabia, within reach of the Red Sea coast and the Yemeni border zone, where Houthi activity has been concentrated.
This is now escalating into a full-blown regional war.
Tomorrow, Alberta votes.
The question: stay as a province of Canada, or start the legal process toward a binding referendum on independence.
If Option 2 wins, that second vote could come as early as 2027.
The map of North America could start to change tomorrow.
Bamboo sheets are sold as the gentle alternative to cotton and silk, and the fabric they are made of is the one that put factory workers in asylums.
Bamboo cloth is not bamboo. It is viscose. The plant is pulped, dissolved in caustic soda and carbon disulphide, and squirted through a nozzle into acid, where it sets into a thread. It was patented in England in 1892 as artificial silk, and the trade name for it was rayon. The same process makes a kitchen sponge and the cellophane on a bunch of flowers.
Carbon disulphide was already notorious. French doctors in the 1850s had watched it send rubber workers blind, impotent and insane. The viscose industry needed it in enormous quantities and nothing else would do.
So from the 1920s the asylums began to fill. In 1933 a doctor at a Pennsylvania rayon plant wired Alice Hamilton, the first woman on the Harvard faculty and the country's authority on industrial poisons, with a 6-word message: an epidemic of insanity has broken out. Workers were going home and attacking their wives. Men in the churn rooms were found wandering the roads. Investigators who got inside found a third of the workforce showing signs of poisoning.
The companies fixed prices, sat on the evidence, and when the regulators finally came for them in the West they moved the factories to India, China and Indonesia, where the same chemical is used today. The consumer was never harmed. Only the people who made the cloth.
Silk is made by a caterpillar in a mulberry tree. Wool is made by a sheep in a field. Both are a protein, same as your own hair, and both have been pulled off the animal for 5,000 years without sending anybody out of his mind.
The fake silk needed a chemical that could not be made safe, and the industry's answer was to make it somewhere else.
The Pen That Saved Apollo 11 From Being A Permanent Moon Tomb.
When Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin returned to the lunar module after their historic moonwalk, they realized they had a catastrophic problem. While maneuvering inside the cramped cabin in his bulky spacesuit, Aldrin's life-support backpack had accidentally smashed into the wall.
The impact completely snapped off the vital circuit breaker switch needed to arm the ascent engine. Without that specific switch, the engine could not ignite, meaning the two astronauts would be permanently stranded on the lunar surface with no hope of a rescue mission.
With only hours of oxygen remaining and Houston control scrambling for a workaround, the situation seemed entirely hopeless. The engineers on Earth frantically tried to find a way to bypass the electrical system, but time was rapidly running out.
Exhausted and facing the very real possibility of dying 240,000 miles from home, Aldrin decided to take matters into his own hands. He began looking around the cabin for anything that could safely fit into the broken circuit breaker hole without conducting electricity and sparking a fatal fire in the oxygen-rich environment.
Aldrin reached into his shoulder pocket and pulled out a standard-issue felt-tip marker. Because the pen's casing was made of plastic, it would not short out the electrical contacts. He carefully jammed the end of the marker into the broken switch hole and pushed.
The circuit closed, the engine armed, and the lunar module successfully blasted off the moon's surface to reunite with Michael Collins in orbit. It turns out the greatest technological achievement in human history was ultimately saved by a piece of office stationery.
Elon Musk becomes deeply moved, and deadly serious, when Bret Baier asks him why he called Sen. Mark Kelly a "Traitor" for pushing to send more US aid and weapons to Ukraine.
Watch every second of his response.
"We should have empathy for the thousands of people dying everyday in the trenches. For no movement in the lines. For the past two years thousands of people have died every week for nothing."
"I take great offense at those who put the appearance of goodness over the reality of it. Those who virtue signal and say we can't give into Russia, but have no solution to stopping thousands of kids dying every day."
"I have contempt for such people and I want to make that clear. Because they're virtue signaling and their lack of a solution means that kids don't have a father. It means parents lost a son. For what? Nothing."
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent REFUSES to put up with NBC News’ Kristen Welker’s BULL CRAP Narratives: “We did the toughest sanctions [on Russia].”
Kristen Welker: “Why lift them now? What has Putin done to deserve sanctions relief now?”
Scott Bessent: “That's not true. No sanctions were lifted on Friday. No sanctions were lifted.”
Kristen Welker: “Will they be lifted?”
Scott Bessent: “There is a 60-day period so we can examine what's going on. The only thing that has been lifted is the diesel embargo. And I will point out the UK in May waived their embargo on diesel and jet fuel made with Russian crude. So where's the outrage for the rest of the world?”
“President Zelenskyy does not criticize his European partners. He seemed a bit disassembled in that interview. The Europeans are financing the Russian war machine. The US imports $4B of Russian products; $1.8B of that is fertilizer. The Europeans, they import more than 10 times that.”
Europe is SOFT on Russia, but OF COURSE there is no outrage over that from the mainstream media.

Nov 3 is our first midterms without it.
Let me go ahead and warn you. If you’re emotionally invested in the TX Senate race, you are in for at least a few solid days of gaslighting, doom, and negativity. Closely manage your mutes and blocks and pay attention to where the votes are coming from.
The attached is a map I’ve made describing the county dispositions of Texas. They are indisputable. There are Essentially five county types in the modern state.
Original MAGAverse (Crimson) - based on where even the great O’Rourke was unable to penetrate in 2018, and on a long string of real results, these counties pile up massive margins. Every batch of votes here is good for the GOP ticket, and the idea is to run up turnout. The last time Texans were afraid of a Democrat win (2018), many of these counties produced 85-90% of their 2016 presidential vote count.
Regular Red (Pink) - these counties are going to be Republican wins, but they will likely give back some presidential margin. Montgomery and Brazoria are the largest in this group. High turnout here is still good for Paxton.
Big Blue Four (Blue) - Democrats have to max out these counties and get huge margins. Harris (Houston), Dallas, Bexar (San Antonio), and Travis (Austin). The media will focus on “record breaking” turnout in these. Dallas will probably give Talarico trouble mobilizing the black vote, as well as Houston. San Antonio and Harris will probably show improvement from 2016-18 for Paxton with working-class Latinos. Every batch of votes from Travis is only good for Talarico.
Slipperies (Purple) - These counties had big movement for O’Rourke in 2018. I think Paxton will win two of them, so the mission here is margin control. Talarico needs to move these a lot and will want to flip Collin.
New Trumpian Empire (Yellow) - South and West Texas. More than 300,000 total presidential margin moved in these from 2016 to 2024. Talarico will lose a lot of O’Rourke’s raw margin in El Paso County. The increase of GOP support with Hispanic voters was not something the O’Rourke campaign had to worry about in 2018 and is being discounted this year.
In a nutshell-
In order to win, this is what Talarico needs:
*Poor turnout in the crimson
*Party turncoats in the pinks
*Massive surge to polls in the blues
*Betomania in the purples
*Massive reversion of the Latino vote in the yellows, back to 2016 presidential level
And THAT would be enough for a TILT margin.
If the crimson votes in big numbers, the yellow will offset the purples and blues.
The past few days, I got my hands on thousands of new transcripts and hundreds of recordings, thanks to leads from @SKDoubleDub33 and @iamlisalogan .
You've heard that the DSA is proposing structural reforms to America, including abolishing the Senate and imposing term limits.
What you not have heard is - there is an operational plan to put it all into action. If the Democratic Party sweeps 2026, then DSA will become "foot soldiers" in constant clashes with the administration to cross a "red line" or invoke a "doomsday scenario" - meaning, President Trump invokes the Insurrection Act, probably sometime in 2027.
Then, a lot of coordinated responses kick off, including delegitimizing the federal government itself and handing that legitimacy to Democratic governors. 2028 then becomes a vote on whether to keep America governance as-is or to burn it all down to appease a "young and brown" demographic.
The mysterious group who's been coordinating 50501, Indivisible, and coordinating the NoKings protests is called "United Democracy Alliance" and their intellectual leader is Erica Chenoweth who came up with the 3.5% rule of nonviolent regime change.
Patience. I know I've hyped this more than anything else. It's genuinely the biggest discovery I've had. This is an enormous archive. This is only the beginning.
You’re right, blaming the riots solely on Islam is wrong… they are the product of Islam and Marxists joining together to end western civilization.
The fact that they are low IQ inbred morons from the third world is the Marxist’s preference.
Let me know if you would like some education in this, you big fluffy weirdo.
The answer to the missile threat was a small group of pilots with a suicidal mission and a motto too profane to print in full. They were called the Wild Weasels, and their job was to fly out ahead of everyone else and trick the enemy into trying to kill them.
The logic was brutal and simple. A SAM site had to turn on its radar to guide its missiles. If you could detect that radar, you could find the site. So the Air Force bolted radar warning gear into fighter jets and sent them in first, deliberately, to bait the missile crews into locking on. The Weasel would fly into the danger zone and basically dare the enemy to shoot at him. When the site lit up its radar and launched, the Weasel would roll in and attack the site while the missile was still climbing toward him.
Think about what that actually means. Their entire tactic was to make themselves the target, to fly straight at the thing trying to murder them, and to attack it in the few seconds before it could. When the first crews were briefed on the concept, one electronic warfare officer famously summed it up with the phrase that became their motto, the polite version being you have got to be kidding me.
It was some of the most nerve shredding flying of the war. The Weasels played a deadly game of chicken with missile crews, dodging the telephone poles coming up at them while diving into the anti aircraft fire to put bombs and missiles on the launch site. Losses were heavy. These were men who volunteered to go first, into the worst of it, so that the bombers behind them might get through.
The Wild Weasels are the direct ancestors of every modern air defense suppression mission flown today. And the whole thing grew out of 1965, when a Soviet missile turned the sky over North Vietnam into a shooting gallery and a handful of crazy brave aircrews decided the only way to win was to let the enemy shoot first.
In April, West Texas gas sold for negative $9.52. Producers were paying to get rid of it. Then the Hugh Brinson pipeline, 400 miles from Waha toward DFW, came online months early. Waha flipped positive and Permian gas hit a record 25.6 Bcf/d in September. Pipe pays. Build more.
