Nine years since Grenfell.
@Keir_Starmer said its legacy would be one of the defining changes of his premiership.
That promise has not been kept.
Hundreds of thousands remain trapped in unsafe, unsellable homes.
We are asking for an urgent meeting.
Read our letter ⬇️
Housing Secretary @SteveReedMP
still focused on ACM cladding stats.
Government says it’s “working tirelessly"...
We’ve heard the same warm words for years.
Meanwhile, the real change leaseholders and residents need still feels a very long way off ❌️
"We'll do it without delay. And the reason that we will is because there are 5 million people in this country who are struggling with this feudal, archaic system."
Would love an update @lisanandy
Will there be meaningful change on the key issues of non-cladding defects, non-qualifying leaseholders, extortionate buildings insurance or shared ownership buybacks in 2026?
We aren’t holding our breath.
#BuildingSafetyCrisis@mhclg
We're meeting @SteveReedMP and @SamanthaDixonMP today.
The last 15 months have seen no real progress.
Accelerating remediation means little without resolving the issues. Their plans will do nothing to help people any time soon.
Labour must do much more to keep its promises.
A year since @Keir_Starmer said he considers himself someone responsible for building safety.
In that time, leaseholders and residents have seen vague announcements and talk of "plans" with little evidence of delivery on the ground.
More warm words.
Change? What change?
Our statement on the reshuffle 👇🏼
We still need to see real leadership from @UKLabour so their manifesto promises on building safety have a chance of being kept.
"We don't know if the Prime Minister or Rachel Reeves get it just yet."
@McrCladiators campaigner, Giles Grover was part of the Public Accounts Committee which held a session with the Government on Monday to discuss the Cladding Remediation Plan.
Giles has highlighted concerns.
📺 @AngelaRayner tells @bbclaurak a majority of developers "and freeholders" have agreed to remediate unsafe buildings "by the end of the parliament"
That's still 5 long years away & only for high-rise blocks, while the majority have no end date in sight.

Waking watch: a short story
Once upon a time we had a WW. Other than harass girls, they did nothing.
A temporary fire alarm (over £100k) was then installed to replace the WW.
That alarm now has a fault.
Tonight we welcome back the WW.
The end 😢

Leaseholders who can’t sell their home face a new stamp duty hike if they manage to save up for a new place
100 days on and we’ve seen next to nothing on leasehold reform and building safety. Successive governments seemingly incapable of doing right by those harmed by negligence
Our current @UKLabour leaders know everything about the #BuildingSafetyCrisis, because in the shadow cabinet we've been speaking to them for 7 yrs.
They know what to do to solve this. Yet in govt they procrastinate as they try to woo the companies that caused it.
I bought my leasehold flat at 25 as a confident, well driven, positive and excited young man. I sold it at 32 as an exhausted, depressed, angry, overweight, irritable man filled with hate, anger, jealousy and bitterness. An absolute shadow of the man I was meant to be.
Are you a landlord trying to sell a flat that has been caught up in the cladding scandal and valued at zero, rendering it unsellable? I'd be interested to hear from you at [email protected]#journorequest
Strongly recommend listening to this if you're a leaseholder.
Each episode is only 15 mins long,so u can get through 4 in the same time as 1 brain dead episode of Strictly or Kardashians or whatever.
It explains very clearly how govt,@mhclg &construction industry ruined our lives
