There are plenty of intersex individuals who align with one gender or the other, even when it doesn't fit the sex they were assigned-

It doesn't help that intersex individuals are usually aligned one of the two bimodal sexes at birth and forced by their parents/guardians into confirming with the binary either, speaking as a trans woman who happened to be intersex.
