🚨 A reminder about the social media accounts included in Desiree Perez’s unsuccessful sanctions motion.

Back in June, Perez and the Consolidated Plaintiffs submitted an exhibit prepared by a consulting company, which had been engaged to examine X accounts followed by Demoree Hadley and determine whether those accounts posted about the litigation.

The exhibit identified 36 accounts, including independent commentators, researchers and other X users. My account was among those listed.

This was part of a broader attempt to connect Demoree and Javon Hadley’s social media activity, as well as activity by third parties, to alleged violations of Judge Beth Bloom’s order restricting public statements about the case.

Fast forward to October 2. Judge Bloom has now DENIED the sanctions motion.
After reviewing the posts, the judge found that Demoree and Javon’s own posts did not directly name parties or discuss the case. She explained that Perez’s side relied on the timing of those posts and how followers supposedly interpreted them.

The judge specifically wrote:
“Alleged violations of this Court’s Order which require an interpretation of third-party understanding cannot be sustained.”

She also rejected the attempt to attribute posts from DemoreeDocket to Demoree based on their alleged association, communications and participation in an X livestream, finding that Perez’s side had not established by clear and convincing evidence that Demoree directed those posts.

The ruling rejected ”evidence” presented to establish the alleged violations, including the attempt to attribute the identified third party’s posts to Demoree.

I’m sharing the original FTI exhibit alongside this portion of Judge Bloom’s ruling so people can see what was submitted and what the court actually decided.
