@CSayf23 The thought is that Moore is just gonna lose against every team with comparable talent so he needs to do much better than 12th of Michigan is gonna climb the mountain again.
@Alex_Drain Only really been able to watch tonight, but he t pushes/shuffles really well, doesn't over slide, and knows where he should in the crease. Takes away the most dangerous angles and trusts the defense around him (which has also been impressive).
@Alex_Drain Having Guy in the endzone as opposed to spying Raiola until he inevitably rolls out to set up the shot. No TO savvy, can't tackle, inane coverage busts. I just don't know what these cats do in practice.
Trying to attribute reproducibility issues to progressive ideology/DEI instead of the zero sum publish or perish environment early career scientists find themselves is another great example of disingenuous redirection of blame for societies ills at whatever the right doesn't like
There is an extraordinary "reproducibility crisis" in the sciences, particularly in biology, where most published papers fail to replicate.
Most universities have massive bureaucracies that inhibit the translation of basic research into commercial adoption.
The voting patterns of university professors are so one-sided that they look like the election results of North Korea.
And on top of all of this, many universities explicitly engage in racial discrimination (mostly against whites and asians) that violates the civil rights laws of this country.
Our universities could see the policies of the Trump administration as a necessary corrective to these problems, change their policies, and work with the administration to reform.
Or, they could yell "fascism" at basic democratic accountability and drift further into irrelevance.
@CFBNerds I encourage dunking on Yoder, but every time your channel puts something out I have to remind myself that analytics are an interesting tool to better understand the game we love and not just the purview of charlatans peddling pseudo-intellectual insight.
@Alex_Drain What is sizable change? Plenty of the highest success rate/ypa/EPA per pass teams in the NFL are 50/50 splits out of 21/12 personnel. Why is it a failure of scheme instead of a failure of personnel?
@Alex_Drain Eh, if they don't give up an explosive even a conversion doesnt change anything and if they have to punt from there you are practically in zvada range
@JDue51 Definitely what I'm watching most closely. Simply a competent performance would be highly encouraging for 25 and beyond given the youth and the opponent.
World's best stats guys discover efficiency goes down as usage goes up. Brand new concept that's not ubiquitous in all of sports. I bet these guys wouldn't cherry pick context like schedule and ignore other context like OSUs fleet of bionic receivers.
Kyle McCord had a better YPA (by a full yard), better TD/INT ratio, and better QBR at Ohio State.
The difference is he threw it 348 times in 2023
He threw it 598 times in 2024
Syracuse played exactly zero top 50 passing defenses and 5 that were 100th or worse
@JorieAulston In that way UT tried to do what Michigan did, but largely it was just that UT didn't look well coached in their zone drops and adjustments to motion and their DL was miles behind Michigans.
@JorieAulston Its all over simplified because "The Michigan Gameplan" TM wasn't just split safety and light boxes, they were multiple and had plenty of checks so Day, Howard and company couldn't get comfortable. UT tried to run QQH early but didn't look drilled in it so Day could get matchups
@JorieAulston@JDue51 Day had some good ideas to get Smith and Egbuka into good matchups against the QQH looks UT was trying to rip from M. UT just didn't look practiced at split safety, so like when Smith motioned from 1 to 2 he got singled deep against a quarters safety and that was all she wrote.
@trevormccue They did, but they just weren't very practiced at it. Michigan lived out of QQH for much of the year and so had adjustments to keep up with Day's shifts/motions. UT tried, but didn't look comfortable in it and let 2 or 4 get singled deep with the quarters safety from the slot.
@Frank_Classic_@ThiccStauskas I think a top 15 defense and a top 30 offense would get Michigan into the playoffs with next year's schedule. Graham, Grant, Johnson, and Stewart are not replaceable, but if key guys stay, Wink learning the college game and the offense not being abject could mitigate somewhat.
@ThiccStauskas @MichaelDM225 The university that in part rose to academic prominence because it did not have ivy league quotas is famously a Christian school.
@KarlaODell11@what_i_shall_be@HiroTDK @HD_LIGHT_Work @AndreaS11788250@dr_andrealove That is not true. Aluminum-containing adjuvants from IM injections are dissolved by alpha-hydroxycarboxylic acids in interstitial fluid, absorbed into the blood, and eliminated in the urine. Very little accumulates in tissues and the vast majority of that does is from diet.
