We are heartbroken to lose our former Board Chair and longtime friend, David Chappell. David showed exemplary dedication to advancing equity and opportunity for every Texan. We are grateful for his support of our people-driven public policy solutions. https://t.co/TpjgnzWuuz

This Texas-born COVID-19 vaccine is cheap, has no patent, and can be made by many vaccine producers globally — including those in low- and middle-income countries. It's poised to receive approval for widespread global use. https://t.co/TFr3yoOtAX

from @reporterjulie: the owner of Houston’s Empanada Factory refused the vaccine at first, anxious about the makeup of the Pfizer and Moderna shots. Then he caught COVID.

NEW: Texas is reporting 4,137 people hospitalized with lab-confirmed COVID-19, the first time that number has climbed over 4,000 since March 13.
It is almost triple the number of people hospitalized a month ago.
Just since last week we are up 46%. Since July 1 up 160%
From @BCMFromtheLabs: 6 vaccinated guests at an outdoor wedding had breakthrough COVID infections.
The ones who had Pfizer and Moderna shots didn't get severely sick. Latest for @HoustonChron:

The story that just keeps going. I reported extensively on Aliera Healthcare now Aliera Companies in 2019 for @HoustonChron. Last night @LastWeekTonight did segment on health sharing ministries and gave shout out to my investigation.
Don’t forget the sacrifices of the brave frontline health care workers who dedicated their lives’ work to protecting their patients and communities. Get vaccinated to keep you, your loved ones and Texas’ #healthcareheroes safe and healthy. 🏥💙🩺
Great news!
#SCOTUS shot down the TX Health Care Repeal Lawsuit! The #ACA is the law of the land.
Hopefully TX leaders will now stop attacking our health care and start developing a plan to offer insurance to the 1.4 million Texans they failed to cover in the #TXlege session.
In health, this means addressing the non-medical, root causes of poor health & not only treating the symptoms in the doctor's office or ER.
Going #upstream is the focus of EHF’s effort to improve #HealthNotJustHealthCare in Texas.
