Back home in Massachusetts, Weston High history teachers Mrs. McLoughlin and Mrs. Bairstow took their June Academy students (on a cold, rainy day) to plant over 3000 servings worth of celery seedlings for Community Harvest in Grafton.
Our Weston Middle School 8th graders celebrated Flag Day at Arlington National Cemetery. We visited the eternal flame commemorating President Kennedy and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and then debriefed in small groups.
Back home in Weston, @BairstowSusan and Mrs. McLoughlin are helping Weston High students change the world during June Academy- yesterday they volunteered at Cradles to Crayons.

We are so very proud of our METCO program students graduating from Weston High School this week. This group includes many social studies superstars, and we know they will do great things in this world!
What a morning. Our US history students were treated to an absolutely fascinating visit by Rodger Harris, a Vietnam Marine Corps veteran featured prominently in Ken Burns' series The War. Roger is a retired @BostonSchools principal, and man did he have the kids' number.
