You're not growing on X, because...
→ You aren't posting long form.
→ You aren't commenting enough.
→ You didn't send enough DM's.
"But I did all of those things!", you scream.
This is exactly how I felt after 9 days on X.
I was stuck at 55 followers.
Yet, only 5 days later-
I had over 122 new friends.
Crazy, right?
I gained almost 80 followers in 4 days.
Every creator, will give you a different reason for this.
1. He did the work
2. He found his niche early
3. He focused on providing value
But that's all a lie.
(not saying you shouldn't be doing those though)
I honestly only did 3 things perfectly.
━━━━━━━━━⁌•⁍━━━━━━━━━
1) Focused on Friends, not Followers
━━━━━━━━━⁌•⁍━━━━━━━━━
I spent WAY too much time-
I'm talking days.
Worrying about my follower count.
I'd get up every morning at 5, and scramble to check my laptop.
2 new followers
And then I'd spend the next 4 hours,
angrily over-editing a post.
I was losing my mind.
Seriously.
Is my writing just not good enough?, I wondered.
Why is nobody liking my stuff?
Then I discovered @viggofredrikson page & BOOM!
It clicked-
Focus on making friends.
So, I took the next day, and-
JUST focused on engaging.
100x comments was the goal.
But REAL engagement.
Not just a:
→ thx buddy!
→ Well done, keep it up!
→ Make that paper, player!
A well written, personalized reply.
Something like-
"Amazing Stijn, really digging all of your tips!
Can I ask if you took any courses or joined paid communities when you started?"
(I love using questions in replies btw. If you write a good one, you might even get a reply)
or, just a totally ridiculous 1 liner.
On that point-
if you're funny, ALWAYS use that.
Everybody loves to laugh.
I read & like all of @papa_gorgeous stuff, for this exact reason.
Lil Bonus tip from @theharrybeadle
→ use people's first names in your replies.
We all love to hear our own names.
Those little honest & quirky comments of mine, showed people who I was.
Just a nice guy wanting to help anybody who is struggling.
After that, I was gaining +15 followers a day.
By the way-
Long Forms will help people STAY on your page.
Good replies will make them GO to your page.
Also, I just-
━━━━━━━━━⁌•⁍━━━━━━━━━
2) Tried to be Kind & Supportive
━━━━━━━━━⁌•⁍━━━━━━━━━
In real life, I'm a massive hugger.
I will hug absolutely anyone, without thinking twice.
• strangers
• firemen
• stray dogs
When I joined X, I knew I wanted my writing to be a reflection of that.
Which is a guy who always tries to make people smile.
That's why I used words like-
→ Buddy
→ Friend
→ Champ
→ Winner
In all of my replies & DM's.
I wanted my audience to know, I want them to win.
I mean-
it was the first time they were meeting me.
You're new.
I'm new.
So if they replied with kindness,
they could be my friend instantly.
Then I would support their posts as much as I could.
→ like anything they post
→ leave a supportive comment
→ like all the other comments on their posts.
I grow.
You grow.
We all grow, together.

3) Sent DM's full of love & honesty
━━━━━━━━━⁌•⁍━━━━━━━━━
When I joined, I was surrounded by rockstars.
Literally, everywhere I looked-
• I grew from 0 → 560 in 4 weeks
• I just 30x my post engagement overnight
• My father is Batman
Which made me instantly terrified to write.
How could I compete with these guys?
So I went with the oldest trick in the book-
Kiss ass like crazy.
When in doubt-
just be humble.
I started with sending @theseancanela a DM.
• I was loving his posts.
• His growth was insane.
• And his knowledge was really in-depth.
The goal of that DM:
Just let him know I want to be his friend.
I deleted it 2 days later-
after he didn't reply.
I was convinced I was being overly needy.
But crazy enough-
5 days later he replied.
'Hey dude, I've been seeing you everywhere.
Thanks for the really nice DM!
Let's connect!'
Today, I'm in his Telegram Community.
All I'm saying is opportunities for growth happen when you take the first step.
Reach out.
Stop overthinking it.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.
The worst thing that happens?
You delete a message.
It doesn't actually get deleted.
You still get a reply.
And all your dreams come true?
I've followed most of the people who have DM'd me and said:
"Hey man, really dig your stuff, you just gained another friend!"
Instant re-follow from me.
Now go out there & make some friends, you champion!
━━━━━━━━━🏆━━━━━━━━━
You read all the way to the end?
YOU LEGEND!
We are officially friends now.
(I'm busy ordering the BFF necklaces as you read this.)
If this post helped you, consider:
1.) Liking
2.) Retweeting
3.) Following me 📷
And DM me, if none of this made sense-
I'll make us a nice picnic, and we'll figure it out together!
(PS: I kept the bad AI pic this time. I just loved Mindneet Boosts, for Mindset Booster)
@averros271828@0xQuasark@thenursemark I think he meant, the substances not on this list, ie: alcohol, are the dangerous ones.
And that shit causes violence.
No prohibition there.
So i agree with him.
Stick to the Amazon 😉
@0xQuasark Does it have to be just one?
Mom, dad, sis & bro, even grandpa.
pretty much every member of my conservative family would do good with some shrooms in em.
@Hankismoodi@0xQuasark Simple math.
How many people has water killed?
How many people have psychedelics killed?
The answer is zero, if u were wondering.
Science just did the unthinkable:
Researchers genetically modified the world's deadliest virus to trace how psilocybin physically repairs the brain...

@AllenInstitute@SiddhantPus@_TheTransmitter I saw @0xQuasark did a thread on this and I'm pretty sure they might have mentioned you?
This tweet of urs happened to pop up on my FYP today.

You had to get high before you could rule.
And no ruler was exempt.
Marcus Aurelius, Plato, Cicero, Augustus.
All drank the same ego-dissolving potion.
They called it: The Eleusinian Mysteries.
The drug cult that birthed democracy 🧵
@FatherMcKennaa I think that picture right there, has always been my #1 fear with psychedelics, and what kept me from trying any of them for years.
Also, why I'm still a lil bitch when it comes to trying DMT, Ayuasca or LSD, tbh.
@0xQuasark Most of the people I know who do psychedelics are like CEOs, scientists, data engineers, music producers, and yeah, sure, some of them do sell beads at festivals.
But so does my alcoholic uncle.
@0xQuasark It's like watching therapy in real time.
Address the issue - big stress
Start resolving it - stress starts decreasing
Resolve it - stress is gone
Now if that ain't the medicine doing it's work, I dunno what is.
@FatherMcKennaa@0xQuasark So you're telling me, it's like resetting my sense of self, joy, capacity for wonder and amazement, to when I was 7-years old?
Yeah. Sign me up.
@0xQuasark Are you supposed to have some kind of integration plan, before you take the psychedelics?
People talk of set & setting, does that involve like a checklist of what you are hoping to address? Like, what conversation you're wanting to have with yourself?
