Updated preprint on estimating effective connectivity in neural networks, including comparisons of different estimation methods for networks with and without spatiotemporal delays. Link: https://t.co/Sc05aofgDv
Work lead by @laasch at @ICNS_Hamburg.
Out now in Scientific Reports! 🎉
@WilhelmBraun and I compare and propose methods to estimate effective connectivity in neural networks. Feel free to check out the methods we tested available at: https://t.co/mSudSvANkv
Good afternoon folks. On December the 2nd at 17:00 CET, we will have @JustineYHansen presenting her recent work (and more) for @ICNS_Hamburg and @HamburgNeuro.

We are happy to share our recently published paper in @netneurosci together with @ICNS_Hamburg and department of Neurology in UKE. Check it out! :) https://t.co/Z2tpfVf9nt
Completely unintentionally, we ended up organizing a 3-days seminar series on the role of networks in neural networks @ICNS_Hamburg from 15:00 to 16:30 CET.
The speakers are @GZamora_Lopez, @DanAkarca, and @MarcusGhosh. Find the registration link for each seminar in the thread:
Someone used DALL-E to create gobbledygook scientific figures and submitted them to Frontiers Journal. And guess what? The editor published it. LOL

Besides a systematic comparison of different methods to estimate structural connectivity, our approach and methods will be particularly helpful for neural systems for which ground-truth connectivity is not known.
Preprint alert: A new method to estimate effective connectivity from activity in neural networks. Great work lead by @laasch at @icns_hamburg. Link: https://t.co/HfMqGaHOAB A thread 🧵.
We provide a perspective to bridge the gap between structural and effective connectivity by advocating for a combined approach of estimating connectivity followed by reconstructing the dynamics of the system.
