Everybody at Manchester United is encouraged by Denmark’s update on Christian Eriksen following today’s abandoned friendly against Ukraine.
The club is sending strength and love to Christian and the Eriksen family as we await further news.
A legacy stained with:
• As a player: caught doping twice.
• As Barcelona coach: managed a club that paid the referees’ committee vice president for years (Negreira case).
• As City coach: managed a club charged with 115 FFP breaches.
One of the most controversial legacies football has ever seen.
@GeoffShreeves@Jack_Gaughan Looking forward to the section where we look at Pep's drug test failures as a player, his multiple (untrue) explanations into how that happened, and his clubs' subsequent punishments for drug-related offences as a manager. Getting the popcorn ready!
On behalf of his family, we are sad to share that Gerry Conway has passed away. Gerry was a tremendous icon in comics who shaped pop culture itself. He was a dear friend, partner, and mentor, and our hearts are with his family and the millions he touched through his work.
@JackPittBrooke Reflective of an officiating system that is actively removing subjectivity from decision-making. An entirely inconsequential hair pull = clearly categorised red card. A deliberate push resulting in serious injury = not meeting any arbitrary threshold for intervention.
We see our home planet as a whole, lit up in spectacular blues and browns. A green aurora even lights up the atmosphere. That's us, together, watching as our astronauts make their journey to the Moon.
"Back in the day there were a lot more attacking players that would really get you off your seat"
@GarethBale11 on the current crop of stars in football 💫
Atrocious use of VAR. Clear red card for denial of goal-scoring opportunity, no effort to play the ball by Collins, yet four minutes wasted only for officials to avoid making the decision. Then subs. Poor penalty Fernandes, who has shown he can be affected by delays. #MUFC
