Our black negros turned this gospel parable into a drama from Luke 16:19-31
High Sheriff: "Deputy, go find Lazarus and bring him here."
The Deputy: "But he's a dangerous man! I'm scared."
Sheriff: "I don't care. Dead or alive, BRING ME LAZARUS."
I'm not for throwing out all mores by a long shot, but I am for being radically forgiving of the young and for not trying to enforce a wider set of norms between groups that are already far apart in mental space. Don't push it among your own
Because today we have a morass of deeply unprincipled social norms, they end up being manipulated by various political and economic actors to constrain behavior as they see fit, and people get alienated from society as a whole
One thing worth keeping in mind about the age-old conflict between the old and young is that the old used to be a besieged minority constantly struggling to corral hordes of relatively undomesticated men. A top-heavy society in terms of wealth and population is quite different
@ciaozoomer Postconciliar developments are always good because they mortify the intellect. This is good because it prevents pride from blocking channels of grace in the heart of a Chud.
@crawlings13 Go cope about it.
I'm a cradle Catholic, an American, and I love my fellow parishoners. They're amazing people! We can always learn something from others.
@_wyec@WilliamReload@cornu__copia I'm sorry, but what you are saying is nothing more than a total lack of respect based on your own ignorance.
Being arrogant towards others is a blatant lack of respect and manners.
