@Mike_M_Klotz 245k miles (394k km) on this one, and still going. Needed ball joints, steering coupler, A/C condenser, and 4 new tires. Customer commutes over 200km a day. It drives pretty nice, but I prefer my other customers K900.
@CoreyLewis86 I'd recommend if they plan to keep this for 100k miles or more like their last car, buy the extended warranty through Honda, an old classmate of mine is shop foreman at Honda and had lots of terrible things to say about the newer Honda V6s and the new 10s speed auto. Just an FYI.
@jcorriv35 My favourite generation, when I was newer in the automotive trade, a customer had a 2001 in blue, like the picture attached, and I had so much fun when I roadtested it.
@Mike_M_Klotz@Bringatrailer I'll never go through the hassle of importing a car again, but that thing almost makes me want to go through the pain again.
@jayedtx@miatatweets Basically, taking every part of the power window system apart and cleaning and lubricating them, which included the motor and the switches, which had a decent amount of corrosion, took way too much time. If they slow down again I'm getting new motors and regulators 😅
@Mike_M_Klotz Well, we share the same opinion. It's sad to look at VW's interesting history of fun cars, and then there's this and its other stable mates. But I suppose it's what the market demands now.
I hate mice, I drove the Miata to work yesterday, went to go home, and noticed fuel gauge wasn't working. They made a nice home on top of the fuel tank over the winter, and the fuel gauge wire was barely holding on. It's all fixed, now onto the power window maintenance...
@Mike_M_Klotz@rwe123 Your continued luck with notable, problematic vehicles needs to be studied. Well, except for the Expedition, you got the exact outcome with that one.
@omgchomp I went to the Margaritaville in Niagara Falls thinking it would be dumb, but I had a great time, the drinks were great, the food was good and the atmosphere was fun and I already enjoy Jimmy Buffetts music. I get why you like it now 😀
