You keep talking as if Korea’s culture was born in a vacuum.
Reality check: every civilization has roots some deep, some borrowed, some inherited.
But only one country in East Asia keeps screaming “stolen!” every time someone shares an object older than its own recorded history.
If China wearing a black hat in a drama is “cultural theft,” then what exactly is Korea’s culture built on?
Selective memory?
Repackaged tributary aesthetics?
Or the belief that whatever existed in East Asia before 1948 automatically belongs to Seoul?
No one is “claiming” Korean culture.
What’s happening is simpler:
Korean nationalism can’t process the fact that history in this region didn’t start with K-pop.
If your identity requires erasing your history of plagiarism to feel unique, it reflects more your insecurity than "cultural preservation."
