PM does not CARE: Public Authority Without Public Accountability?

PM CARES fund ended 2024–25 with ₹8,452 crore, yet spent just ₹87.85 lakh during the year, barely 0.01% of its closing balance.

The Prime Minister is its Chairman. The Defence, Home and Finance Ministers are its Trustees. It accepts CSR contributions and tax deductible donations.

Yet, no RTI scrutiny. No CAG audit. No Parliamentary accountability.

@narendramodi ji must answer -

1. Why does a Fund bearing the Prime Minister’s name remain beyond the ordinary mechanisms of public scrutiny?

2. What is the rationale of an emergency fund accumulating thousands of crores when barely 0.01% of its closing balance was spent in 2024–25?

As if one Shree Ram Mandir Trust was not enough for Chanda Chori... !

Remember, you, Modi ji announced both PMCARES fund and Ram Mandir Trust and both get donations under your oversight !

There is a reason why PM CARES is kept as a private fund and outside CAG Audit.

We will show you just one example. According to PM CARES statement, it gave ₹189.4 Cr to Indian Oil Corporation for buying Liquid Oxygen Equipment in 2021-22.

However if you see Indian Oil Corporations annual report, it received only ₹103.27 Cr from PM CARES.

Where did the remaining ₹86.1 Cr vanish? Swiss Banks?

All other expenditures of PM CARES requires further audit. There is a reason why this fund was created, when an existing Prime Minister's Disaster Relief fund existing from 1948.

This is nothing but Modi-Care fund, where private companies and public companies were forced to contribute including CSR funds.

And that's why it was kept private so that CAG will not catch the frauds done in daylight.
