Yesterday, we celebrated a major milestone as the first cohort of the Young Professionals Program in Climate Finance graduated after a full year of hands-on training, mentorship, and institutional placement.

Developed by the Rwanda Green Fund in partnership with @giz_rwanda, the program equips Rwanda’s next generation of climate finance leaders with the skills and experience needed to support the country’s green and development ambitions. Over the past year, ten young professionals were placed across key institutions—including @GreenFundRw, @EnvironmentRw, MINECOFIN, @REMA_Rwanda , and @BRDbank they contributed to real projects, strengthened national capacity, and deepened their expertise.

Congratulations to the graduates as they continue their journey in advancing Rwanda’s climate resilience and green growth agenda.

Today, in partnership with German Cooperation and @KfW_FZ_int, we officially launched the Export Credit Guarantee Facility (ECGF).

The facility aims to help Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across the entire export value chain access financing to boost exports, and strengthen their competitiveness on regional and global markets.

ECGF offers risk-sharing credit guarantees to financial institutions to enhance confidence within the financial sector, enabling them to lend with greater trust in export financing.
