Just learnt about William Farr in 1800s. He described the (flatten the) Farrs ‘curve’ we talk of today. He followed on from good old Jon Snow’s work on cholera & pinpointed a second cholera outbreak in East London. All Courtesy of good data @GutteridgeC

@sebbacon @mwardle @HospChiefPharm @bengoldacre I think difficulty arises as VTM is often too high but VMP quickly becomes unnecessarily too specific. Exceptions aside I think most regional formularies would be better defined & appreciated as ‘VTM + Route’. That as the 6th box model would be v useful.
