I've been competitor my whole life and my dedication is on another level. Since school I've competed in Chess tournaments (regional/national level), Math Olympics multiple 1st/2nd places on regional level and other scientific subjects.
It's matter of time I'll be back, despite all shit I had to go through.(injury/blood cell sickness)
I have no aspirations to be a player anymore, this grind will be my last one.
I genuinely working towards something bigger and time will tell.
Things I've done irl post injury:
-Got almost 3 degrees ICT, Multimedia and currently working on sports-psych one
- Made some dev projects which ultimately I sold. so now I live from it while pursuing my competitive goals after years quitting gaming entirely
-Moved to foreign country to live.
-Travelled to 5 different countries in Asia.
Gaming:
Since post injury I got limited in a way, my most gaming was done on mobile devices so therefore pretty much I achieved Elite Top% in every possible MOBA except WildRift, + recently got into Shadowverse and I hit pretty high rank there too.
Things what I do enjoy nowadays which involves gaming is making competitive teams, scouting opponents, theory crafting, doing VOD analysis & coaching.
No more clarifications needed.
Just to clarify — I peaked Master 150 LP back in Season 8, before Grandmaster existed and when Master+Challenger had ~500 slots total. Since then, I’ve been mostly absent from grinding League. I was a Nidalee OTP until a right arm injury forced me to step away from chasing pro.
My passion never died, though — I shifted to smaller MOBAs to keep my competitive fire alive.
Ascend is my current name. I used to go by something else, but that’s done. If someone’s playing under a similar tag, it’s not me. Don’t get it twisted.
I don’t tweet about League drama or metas because I’ve been out of the scene for almost half a decade. Last time I played seriously was Season 13 — hit D2 in 2 weeks, but had to quit again due to stress.
Still, I’ve got the mind for this game, and coaching has been in the back of my head for a while now. I know what I bring to the table.
That’s all. No more clarifications needed.
The picture of current ongoing bs.
The amount of jealousy, hate and other bs in league scene exists is the pure example of the modern "Gold Rush" epocha
People who discovered The Gold first don't want anyone to get even remotely close to it, despite their own qualifications and work is indeed in "question".
Now so called during "Esports Winter" clearly amplifies it that known names feel a need to come out and use their following to tarnish/destroy someone's reputation in question.
If you are that credible, already established do you really feel a need to go after someone and completely destroy them due to whatever history they have? Does this really bother you?
answer is simple - YES it bothers them, bcs their track record and results cannot back up or be sueffiencent enough to stay relevant so whoever has a tiny bit of potential is a potential and direct threat to them.
Warrior, I'm afraid to tell you that your training might not be enough, you need to learn about the western culture (The Wild West)
With her credentials to tag you like this - it means she is clearly interested in gate keeping you from the space for a whatever reason.
Best of luck champ, btw DMs open if you are interested in learning about it.
Last year, I genuinely thought I was done with HoK during the spring season, until I decided to pick up the coaching side of it.
I'm happy to share that one of my students is going to represent his nation at the Asian Games.
Yet I still ended up quitting HoK due to the limited competitive opportunities in Europe. After running a competitive team almost entirely by myself, I felt like I had given everything I could. There simply wasn't enough energy left for me to keep pushing forward alone, especially in a way that I believed could be successful.
Not to mention that my team suffered from the lack of competition in Europe outside of a few strong EU/CN teams.
For those who want to pursue HoK, go for it. The game might grow significantly over the next five years. But at the moment, the reality is quite sad: the global scene is underfunded and heavily underdeveloped. It's been two years, and in terms of overall level of play, we're still in the stone age.

I still haven't mentioned the drafting itself which is sadly the most fraudulent part of HoK global scene.
most of the times teams opt into the most common bans
go for the most basic early game rotation which everybody does in peak tournament(SoloQ mode)
0 thought process get bunch of strong picks and brawl xddd
and then they play into D- tier heroes into KPL team or academy team and lose. WHY????
- bcs they fundamentally don't understand the depth of strategy HoK has and how creative your openings can possibly be.
indeed in terms macro HoK has way more variance than League since roles and heroes are more fluid in terms of placement/ movement and starting point on the map.

Since the HoK global scene is still in the Stone Age in terms of how to navigate on the map,
I’m working on an HoK guide for competitive players/teams.
- Which will include clearly defined roles (communication style required from each role)
- Clear explanation how to apply pressure (using early game advantage / surviving early game)
- Understanding tempo and how to recover tempo and so on..
Reason why? It’s simple — it’s been 2 years and we still see teams handshake early game, then in the mid game either get caught or go for a random skirmish and overcommit, while there are a zillion better, more efficient choices to be made...
