Building LoopCall : a voice AI that answers the phone for small businesses.
Founder in France, learning sales the hard way, in public.

[Guillaume @WizardGuizzzz]

Building in public, the unglamorous version:

I'm a founder in France building, GetLoopCall, a voice AI that answers the phone for independents and small businesses.

For now, 0paying customers. 0 MRR. Most of my week is prospecting, not coding.

I'll share what works and what doesn't. Lessons travel, wherever you build from.

[Guillaume @WizardGuizzzz]

@whodeven Greats ideas !

[Guillaume @WizardGuizzzz]

A US AI startup for home services, juste raised 52$M.
+1500 businesses use it.

I'm building the same kind of thing for french garages and driving school.
Raised 0$, paying customers 0.

Good news, the market is real !

[Guillaume @WizardGuizzzz]

France just voted a €0.055/GB tax on big platforms' traffic.

Sounds like it only hits Big Tech. It won't.

Costs roll downhill: to the tools small founders like me rely on, then to our customers.

I'm building a startup here. I'd rather my country made that easier, not more expensive.

[Guillaume @WizardGuizzzz]

@sergioxai @bengincet Useful, thanks. In France the price conversation usually comes after the trust one: will it get the name and the number right? Do you see the same in Germany?

@realbrianmoran Currently in the ugly years. Voice AI startup from France, 0 paying customers, a lot of phone calls. Good reminder that it's a phase, not a verdict.

Happy to connect with anyone selling to local businesses.

Building a startup from France this week.

Parliament just voted a €0.055/GB tax on big platforms' traffic. It still needs the Senate.

I can't control any of that.

I can control how many business owners I call on Monday.

Still building here.

[Guillaume @WizardGuizzzz]

@rileybrown What's your best advice ?

[🧞‍♂️Martin Donadieu - oss/acc @martindonadieu]

France managed yesterday to be the top idiot of the ladder.

Germany: hold my beer !

[Guillaume @WizardGuizzzz]

@mwfowlie 🤣

[Guillaume @WizardGuizzzz]

@LaurentLhardit @videolan A senile old socialist-communist who has been exploiting the French people for decades

[Guillaume @WizardGuizzzz]

@henrikklee @omarchy powerfull !

[Guillaume @WizardGuizzzz]

I live in a country run by clowns, who don't understand a thing about the economy

[VideoLAN @videolan]

So, the French socialists, and Parliament members just voted a tax, that they don’t understand, which would cost VideoLAN more than 1 million euro per year.

They are probably the most clueless politician on Earth? And they claim they want technological sovereignty…

@katarinaore Congratulations !!

Entrepreneurship is about self-belief first and business skills second.

[Guillaume @WizardGuizzzz]

@kiaraplds @bot @bot is my CM for getLoopCall !

[Guillaume @WizardGuizzzz]

@cartesia @ArtificialAnlys @ServiceNow Benchmarks matter for enterprise.
For the small businesses I sell to, the test is simpler: the owner calls his own number, asks a price it can't know, and listens.
Curious how Managed Agents handles the "I don't know" path out of the box.

[Guillaume @WizardGuizzzz]

@xukunshuoai Owners looks for results, not for raw data

[Guillaume @WizardGuizzzz]

Almost every owner I demo our AI receptionist to does the same thing first.

They try to break it.

Weird questions. Interruptions. A price it can't know.

They don't care if it sounds human. They care what it says when it doesn't know.
