@VaughnPalmer Fix dysfunctional Municipal Councils - Lantzville, Sayward, Qualicum Beach, North Saanich, Saanich, Victoria, Lions Bay, Kamloops, Harrison Hot Springs, Trail, Delta and Surrey come to mind. A simple fix: Have the Councillors elect the Mayor instead of the voters.

My experience: prior to lowering the default to 30, school zones were posted at 30 and most drivers stayed at or below 30 in school zones. Now with the default 30, drivers exceed the posted by 5-10 km/h, including within school zones….

All urban and many other BC school districts actively recruit foreign students with the objective to increase funding. BC province likes it - takes the pressure off to increase funding.
