@mathsjem Really interesting post as always Jo! I have spoken to HoDs about this who have said it gives an accurate picture of how they would do on a GCSE at that point, even if there are topics they've not covered yet
@mathspeptalk @cheshirewirral @tythymaths I find balancing scales is a great way of doing it as a pictorial representation instead. @goteachmaths has some great ones that are similar to the equations you're solving
