¡Time for el Puente! 5th graders in Mrs. Veronie's and Maestra Raths's Dual Language classes transferred their fraction math vocabulary to Spanish today! They demonstrated their metalinguistic and math skills to help the Puzzled Pingüino fix his mistakes!

Today, guests from the Lake County Center for Independent Living helped our students understand more about living with disabilities and accepting others! Ms. Heather from our staff even talked about her self-advocacy in living with Cerebal Palsy and how to stand up for others!

Cultural Enrichment Day @d50intermediate!! The amazing bailadoras from Ballet Folklórico Tayahua helped us start the school year right with an Awesome Assembly! We learned so much about Mexican dances and cultura, just in time for Hispanic Heritage Month!! 🇲🇽💃

¡El Puente: the Bridge! After demonstrating an understanding of fraction vocab & concepts in English, we transferred that learning to Spanish! For our metalinguistic study, we noticed most of our words were cognates. Then we completed a math project en español @d50intermediate!
