In Churo, Baringo County today, I heard our people speak about marginalization, insecurity and poverty.

Their stories took me back to my own.

I wore shorts for the first time after my circumcision rites. Shoes only came when I joined secondary school.

Free education changed everything for me. It took me to the Chief Justice's chair.

We will not deny the children of Churo that same door.

That is why I am in this race.

On our way to Samburu County, we stopped at Tangulbei, Baringo County.

We were reminded that what we are doing with the #UkatibaCaravan is different as many politicians do not go to Tangulbei nor listen to the grievances of the people.

We heard of long-standing neglect, a strong sense of marginalisation, especially amongst the pastoralist community and lack of inclusion of their youth and community in regional & national development.

This is what propels me each day, to drive through rough terrain- not helicopters- to listen to our people. To craft with all of you an #Ukatiba agenda to reset, restore, rebuild Kenya @UGMParty

This morning in Kabarnet town, a little girl named Nancy Kapanat flagged down our convoy.

We stopped.

She walked up and handed me a portrait that she and her friends had made together.

A portrait of their President.

I was speechless.

If you ever wonder why I am in this race, look at Nancy's face.
Look at what these children believe is still possible for Kenya. Their faith is not a burden I carry lightly. It is the very reason I will not stop.

The work to Reset, Restore and Rebuild this country has never felt more urgent, or more real, than it did at that moment on a roadside in Kabarnet.

Ukombozi is not a slogan. For Nancy and her generation, it is the only acceptable future.

Congratulations to the people of Nepal for a peaceful transition in power engineered by its youth who took to the streets last year and said “enough is enough”.

They entrusted the transition process to former Chief Justice Sushila Karki, who handled the process with wisdom, justice and utmost integrity leading to the historic landslide victory of Mr. Balendra "Balen" Shah @ShahBalen and the Rastriya   Party (RSP) @party_swatantra @hamrorabi

I extend my heartiest congratulations to Balen and to the young people of Nepal. By defeating the entrenched system that has robbed the majority of the population opportunities for prosperity, peace and justice. You have proven that a structured, united youth wave is the most potent force for change in the Global South.

I also wish to give special recognition to former Chief Justice Sushila Karki for her steady leadership during the transition.
