After getting hit hard by real life ❤️🩹 (car accident, healing, Fall break), I am feeling rejuvenated 😊 and ready to invite ya’ll in and share more content and secrets 🤫with you!
Turns out this forced break was just what I needed to gas ⛽️ me up for what’s to come! ☺️☺️☺️
@vickyweberbooks Seriously, ALL the time! Mom, wife, author, sister, daughter, friend, all while being neurodivergent, living with chronic pain and being disabled! And, I often get mad at myself for not being able to do the things I need and want to do! Somehow, we always make it through though!
🇺🇸 You see the uniform.
You hear the fireworks.
But you don’t always see what’s left behind.
This is what it means to love someone who serves.
And still try to hold the rest together. 🇺🇸

✨ Imagine a world where every kid feels seen—this book is a step toward that reality. ✨
💭 What would your world have looked like if you had a book like this growing up? Drop it in the comments—I’d love to hear. 💗
I literally JUST submitted my pitch to the #PitchDis event! I feel so elated and proud! This is a big accomplishment for me and it signals that I am finally feeling comfortable in my own skin, especially as an author!

I sometimes wish that my life was picture perfect. But then, I wouldn’t have the messy, beautiful, real life memories and experiences that I have had. Life isn’t always perfect but at least it’s mine! 💗

@vickyweberbooks This line is still one of my favorite lines I have ever written and it comes from my book, “Maddie the Perfectionist”.
“I squeeze it tight, as if it might fill the gaps in my heart.” 💗 💗💗
It makes kid me feel seen and heard every time I read it. And I think it hits hard. 💛
@fade_colors@PrenticePieces@alliewritesalot When we say ‘many new writers are like this,’ it risks reinforcing a bias that can make it harder for all new writers to be taken seriously. Broad generalizations discourage, instead of encourage. Since every experienced writer was once new,
@fade_colors@PrenticePieces@alliewritesalot What I’m saying is you don’t get it because you argued over semantics rather than having a conversation about the real issue. The real issue is that we should lift each other up instead of tear each other down. I wish that people understood this more, and were willing to help
@fade_colors@PrenticePieces@alliewritesalot Out that the negativity isn’t needed. Everyone was a new author once before they were published. So, I would like to see the community lift each other up and help each other out rather than bring negativity that didn’t need to be commented in the first place.
@fade_colors@PrenticePieces@alliewritesalot We should be more supportive in the writing community rather than tearing others down. Just as you are trying to do here. You could have simply ignored my comment or said maybe their experience is different. But, you sit here and try to argue over semantics when I am pointing
@vickyweberbooks I’m not sure because I don’t leave notes on my drafts. If I see something that I want to fix or change, I do it right then and then. I have more of a Type A personality I guess, and notes would NOT help me. I’m pretty sure I would ignore them or feel too overwhelmed to even start
