TW: Transphobia
I wanna share my struggles b/c 1) I want cis folx to understand some of the struggles trans players face and 2) it's part of my healing process. So.
Let's revisit summer 2019 when I played Mixed as a female-presenting male-matching player. [1/29]
Alright. This probably won’t be neat and coherent, I’m not Rico or Anraya. I have thoughts I want to share though, so strap on and strap in kiddos. They’re also going to be my opinions. Disagree with them if you want. They aren’t hard and fast rules. 1/
TBT to Amherst investment office internships being one of the few unpaid student jobs on campus. Always felt like that was a reeeally obvious way to keep financial institutional power where it already was.
When I was a HS student, I couldn’t afford to not make money.
So instead of fancy unpaid “office”internships, I got paid actual cash 💵working as a waitress, barista, ice cream scooper.
Unpaid internships are inaccessible opportunities that create further inequities.
Stop it.
Hoping all these stonk bros can channel this wsb ENERGY (and tbh organizing) against structural fuckery the next time the topic is racism, sexism, homophobia, ableism, land back, etc etc
@robinson_j2 Being the kid of two chinese immigrants who grew up during the communist revolution. To be fair I haven't seriously tried to engage but that history (the little I know of it, they dont love to talk about it) is def some generational trauma.
