Every human is innately a segregationist and are bound to display it blatantly or subtly depending on circumstances. Call it clique, tribalists, xenophobes, racists, misogynists, misandrists...
There are places we pass through in life… and there are places that become part of who we are.
Manchester will forever be my home.
To the city, the club, and every supporter, my sincerest thank you. These past four years have been unforgettable, filled with moments my family and I will carry with us for the rest of our lives. There simply aren’t enough words to describe the happiness and warmth we’ve felt here.
Thank you for every cheer, every memory, and for making us feel at home from the very first day.
Forever a Red Devil ❤️
Do you know how many doctors who acquired complex surgical skills because of NYSC?
You think typing rubbish here in all caps will render the reality of those doctors unfounded?
"Zombie way na one way jo ŕa joʻ"
These guys did justice to the choreography of Zombie by Fela.
They took the dancing personal.
I never expected the ending.
@nationalnma This thread is immaterial to the plights of many young doctors. It doesn't address the realities of the current practice of medicine in Nigeria.

FEDERAL MINISTRY OF EDUCATION
PRESS RELEASE
5th March, 2026
FG CLARIFIES: FEC DECISION ON NIGERIAN POSTGRADUATE MEDICAL COLLEGE ACT, SAYS PhD COMPLEMENTS NOT EQUIVALENT TO MEDICAL FELLOWSHIP
The Federal Ministry of Education has clarified reports circulating in traditional and digital media regarding the approval granted by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) to amend the Act governing the Nigerian Postgraduate Medical College.
The Honourable Minister of Education, Maruf Tunji Alausa, CON, explained that the approval granted by Council under the leadership of Bola Ahmed Tinubu enables the College to seek accreditation from the National Universities Commission to award Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in relevant medical and research disciplines.
The Minister noted that some reports wrongly suggested that a PhD would replace or be considered equivalent to medical fellowship. He emphasised that this interpretation is incorrect.
Dr. Alausa clarified that medical fellowship remains a distinct professional qualification in clinical practice, awarded to physicians who complete rigorous residency training and postgraduate medical education required for specialist practice.
The reform simply expands the College’s academic mandate. Alongside awarding fellowships, the institution may now offer PhD programmes upon accreditation by the National Universities Commission.
The Ministry stated that this approach will strengthen medical research, academic medicine, and specialist knowledge development while preserving the integrity and prestige of professional medical fellowships.

I fear healthcare in Nigeria might not seriously improve in terms of process and operations till patients become increasingly litigious — and win.
Maybe then everyone will sit up.
