Hard agree, since Jubei is my favorite protagonist. Additionally, I loved the different story routes you can take based on what character you bonded with, which gave you much more replay value in comparison to the other games. Though Onimusha Dawn of Dreams is a close second in my mind despite some of it's problems.

Having said that, I won't be buying this new game since visually the game looks boring, and I don't like some of the design decisions either, which is a shame as Onimusha is currently in my top three series made by Capcom.
