Sometimes I wish Assassin's Creed could have ended on a bright note, and let fans celebrate it for years after. Look at something like Avatar, a 15-year-old show with a community as vibrant as ever.
I don't want the reason I leave AC to be that I ended up hating it.
Until then though, I struggle to muster support and enthusiasm for a game like ACV without feeling like it's a tacit endorsement of current leadership.
Especially since (like many companies) the fruits of rank-and-file labor benefit executive leadership disproportionately.
This. In the whole demo of an Assassins Creed game, this is the only image that even slightly hints that it’s part of the series.
I’ll TRY to stop being so negative soon, but why on earth do they continue to tie down these historical RPG’s to this series.
Too much false hope
@TabletopThoma @_Turul_ Also tbf they could end Layla's arc as they seem to have been shaping her up to be the antagonist. It's not unrealistic to deliver a convincing closure to this arc and the assassin templar conflict
@TabletopThoma @_Turul_ The series is never going to be able to end with dignity. That ship sailed long ago when they decided to continue milking the dead horse
Today is the 10th anniversary of @assassinscreed 2! To celebrate I have compiled a collection of 17 unreleased AC2 tracks and demos as a big thank you to all the fans for the amazing support of this soundtrack!

I have so much respect for a franchise that gave me one of the most outstanding moments in gaming history, and my heart bleeds to see it turning lore into easter eggs, main villains into simulations, consistency to convolution and going from setting the trends to chasing ones.
