Partisan gerrymandering doesn't just rob North Carolinians of their political representation. It also fosters dysfunction and widespread political corruption - which is exactly what we see today in the North Carolina state legislature.

Republican State Senator @MichaelLee4NC in New Hanover county is a part of the problem. Rigged maps protect corrupt men like him so they can sell out their voters in Raleigh.

The New Hanover gerrymander is particularly bad, because it's also a racial gerrymander. In the 2022 and then 2024 maps, Republican leaders specifically carved out the parts of downtown Wilmington with the highest number of Black residents. That changed the district to make it easier for a Republican candidate - Lee - to win.

But this year, it may not be enough.
