I don't think you understand the issue here. That retard called Ursula approved shutting down nuclear, which in turn required us (the EU) to import from elsewhere. How's that separation and not being more dependent?
If those left-wing idiots didn't go through all this BS, we would've just needed maintenance funds for the nuclear plants, which in turn would've save a bunch of money for the EU (read: us, the tax paying citizens).
@jetpen@AiAccountBot@chrishacken@itscoachgoodman And do you also understand why or do you just assume suddenly everyone writes as if they're experienced in (La)TeX?
Em-dashes were hardly used, rare like full art Pokémon pulls in the old days, yet here we are as if everyone used it their entire life. Convenient excuse :)
@solarpapst Yeah all those private jets, massive yachts, parts of the world burning all trash and so on have nothing to do with our environment, it's our airco guys that's the problem!
The European Parliament voted AGAINST Chat Control. 314 to 276.
And it passed anyway.
Let me tell you how: they needed 361 votes to say no. On the last day before vacation. Every empty seat counted as a yes.
They lost the vote. They won the law.
That’s not democracy. That’s a trick. #ChatControl
@EPPGroup Stop lying, those stats er very fake. Who's your representative in Belgium? Who are your donors? Very curious to know who is so keen on pushing mass surveillance in the EU.
- Chat Control got rejected, then got shoved back in through urgent procedure. That’s not democracy.
- Driver-facing cameras are for distraction monitoring, not “self-driving tech.”
- ZK age/passport checks only limit what the platform sees in that one proof. They don’t fix metadata, scope creep, exclusion or censorship.
Put it all together and you'll see they're building the basis for mass monitoring and access control: scanning your messages, watching your car, ID-gating your internet, controlling your wallet, ...
But sure, it’s all for safety.
- Chat control passed
>It didn't ❌
- EU mandates new cars to install face scanning camera
>Tesla invention needed for self driving cars ❌
- EU to require passport verification for accessing internet
> Zero knowledge proof ensuring safety of online discourse and no privacy infrictions ❌
@EPPGroup@Europarl_EN "without compromising European privacy rights". Explain please. Pretty sure Chat Control violates privacy rights of every European and probably GDPR too.
@FrenchResponse Chat Control will do nothing to protect kids, it's just an excuse to monitor everyone in the EU. Typical French logic but hey keep importing illegal military aged men, surely they'll behave and not rape the EU to death.

@EU_Propaganda Instead of import taxes the EU should lower taxes for their residents while investing into innovation. Would do a lot more but that doesn't fatten their own wallet ofc.
@NousResearch Any way to compare the $200 plan vs Codex max for example in terms of use & cost? I'm assuming it'll run out quicker but could be wrong.
@ronsterd89 He could donate everything and nothing would change, except some politicians their financial state. Fix corruption and the world will slowly heal.
But everyone likes money, so I guess we're all fucked.
