Tokenization as Infrastructure, Not a Shortcut

In this clip, André Casterman explains why tokenization is best understood as an upgrade to the internet’s financial infrastructure, not a guarantee of liquidity or success.

Tokenization does not create demand on its own. Liquidity still matters. What it does change is the efficiency of how value moves. Cheaper settlement. Faster transfer. Native verifiability.

Stablecoins are a clear example. Instead of routing payments through correspondent banking and local clearing entities, value can move directly by transferring tokens. The asset does not need to be physically moved or reconciled across jurisdictions. The result is lower cost and less friction.

Verifiability is the real unlock. Unlike physical assets, which require costly and invasive processes to prove authenticity, tokenized assets can be verified on-chain, publicly, and without altering the asset itself. This is the shift from moving information to moving value.

Tokenization is not a product. It is infrastructure. And infrastructure is what enables real-world use at scale.

🚀 XDC Network ranks #2 in RWA issuance in Brazil
According to real-time on-chain data from RWA Monitor, @XDCNetwork is now the second-largest blockchain for Real World Asset (RWA) issuance in Brazil, with approximately US$140 million (R$700 million) in RWAs already tokenized on-chain.

This milestone reflects the strong institutional traction of XDC as a blockchain infrastructure purpose-built for regulated tokenization, private credit, trade finance, and cross-border financial flows.

A key part of this growth comes from the work being developed together with strategic partners such as Vert Capital and Liqi Digital Assets, enabling real-world, compliant and scalable RWA issuance in the Brazilian market.

📈 Forward outlook
Based on the current pipeline and partnerships, the projection is to reach US$1.5 billion in RWA issuance over the next 24 months, driven by increasing institutional adoption and Brazil’s leadership in financial innovation.
