Four levels of intelligence:
•Smart
•Intelligent
•Genius
•Simple
The highest level of intellect is simplicity.
Match that with a strong conviction and… uff 😮💨.
(Some of us are willing to ride it to zero)

I’ve spent a few days thinking about the Tesla Roadster reveal and landed somewhere I haven’t seen much discussion. I’m neither a Tesla fanboy nor a Tesla hater. And I couldn’t care less whether what we saw technically qualifies as a flying car. Three takeaways: (1) The risk of that live demonstration going horribly wrong was real. Almost no CEO would willingly expose their company to that kind of public humiliation for a product with so little financial upside. Elon did. (2) That willingness to attempt the seemingly impossible is what makes Tesla special. It’s also arguably Elon’s greatest contribution to America. He’s helped bring back something we’ve lost. The American spirit of chasing big scary ideas that most people think are impossible. That mindset is spreading across a new generation of founders and its long term impact on America’s future could dwarf anything Tesla ever sells. I think this is deeply underappreciated. (3) Can we just acknowledge how insanely cool that moment was? We’ve reached a strange place culturally where even extraordinary feats of human ingenuity immediately become arguments about why they don’t count. Not everything needs to be a debate. Sometimes we should just be able to stand back together and marvel at what humans are capable of. I’ve been both bullish and critical of Tesla’s ambitions over the years. But watching Elon and his team push the boundaries of what’s possible reminds me why I’m glad we have him. Whether the Roadster ever makes Tesla a dollar or impacts $TSLA stock price is almost beside the point. We need more people willing to risk failure in pursuit of things the rest of us think are impossible. Because when they succeed we all win.
When things aren’t going well, I think of this image a lot.
Fail and fail fast.
To think this guy and his team maybe introducing a flying car today. Bravo 👏.
Metaplanet announced ¥52b of zero-coupon Euro-yen convertible bonds due 2031, together with a concurrent share repurchase. Terms are now final, and the initial repurchase was completed this morning.
The conversion price is ¥339, a ~30% premium to the reference share price and above 1.0x mNAV at launch.
Through ToSTNeT-3, we repurchased 73,981,400 shares at ¥261, a discount to NAV, for a total of ¥19.3b, or roughly 5.4% of shares outstanding.
A further ¥23.6b will partially repay our credit facility, releasing bitcoin currently pledged as collateral and giving us greater flexibility to execute on our upcoming strategic initiatives.
The remaining ~¥9bn allocated to repurchases can go toward further share buybacks in the market and/or additional facility repayment.
@hillery_dan@bot My favorite thing is not having to touch a keyboard using voice notes from my car, phone, then walking into my office to find everything ready and synchronized.
My takeaway from the Unconference in NYC earlier this week:
The institutions want your Bitcoin. And they want it bad. They will do anything to get their hands on it. Out of your possession and into theirs.
Lending
Collateral
Payment plans for buying
Any scheme they can to get your coins
Tradfi underestimated how much demand there was for Bitcoin, including BlackRock, and now they will do anything to accumulate coins and unlock revenue streams by doing so
The most valuable thing you can own is Bitcoin and price exposure to the asset class going forward
The next explosive phase of growth and adoption is upon us
