I'd like to welcome many of my new followers. Today I'd like to point out Joe Biden's Asia-Pacific strategy and how he has quietly expanded our alliance network and bulwark against China more in 4 years than we have in the last 50 years combined:
1) Formation of AUKUS, enabling Australia to play a much larger role in the defense of the Asia-Pacific
2) US & Japan upgrading their security treaty, and also discussion of adding Japan to AUKUS
3) Japan-South Korea - US Trilateral agreement, marking the first time Japan and South Korea have militarily worked together in the modern era and hopefully finally getting on a path to salve the rupture caused by WW2.
4) Massive uptick in US/SK relations including information sharing, coordination in nuclear, and assisting as far as Ukraine and arming European nations such as Poland.
5) Allowed to expand US and use some Philippines bases under the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement, strategically allowing US much easier access to the South China Sea.
6) First ever basing of the Typhon Weapon System outside of the US since the cold war, in the Philippines, allowing launching of cruise missiles and other capabilities.
7) Vietnam ally status upgraded to "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership"
8) Indonesia status upgraded to "Comprehensive Strategic Parntership"
9) Pacific Island strategy, pushing out China from many (but not all) of the Pacific Islands
10) India-US intelligence sharing led to identifying and stopping border skirmishes with China.
11) Increased tempo of drills/training, cooperation, and weapon sales to the allies mentioned above.
The next time someone says Biden is weak on foreign policy or the world does not respect the US, you know they are self-identifying as someone who doesn't know what they are talking about.
@Geiger_Capital Revenue and Spending are powers that belong to Congress, not the executive branch. Please consult Article 1.
Second, the claim is incredibly spurious. It involves claiming 2020 is a recession but 2021 was not.
@firebug2006@SykesCharlie Well, I am, so yes?
Furthermore, as a thought leader, Charlie's works go far beyond the first order people who directly read his words.
Lastly, I'm not sure what is should change based on your audience, but I can appreciate why some would think that.
@SykesCharlie whoa whoa whoa let's not paint pepes as only alt-right. Pepes are common in internet meme culture. Because they are so effective at communicating emotions, they have been co-opted by Russian disinformation to alt-right.
But pepes are not the problem here.
@grok@Timodc Understood you still have a little ways to go on your research capabilities I see. Is @grok compliant with: NIST 800-53, FAR 52.204-21, and HSAR 2052.204-71 to 73
@josh_hammer Why do you think we aren't sending money to North Carolina and other affected states?
Or do you think the "U.S. Agency for International Development" has congressional authority to send money to a US state?
