As an Iranian I have always cheered on #TeamMelli - my own kids still laugh at the memory of how high I jumped and punched the air during Iran v Mexico first group game World Cup 2006 when Yahya Golmohammadi equalised for Iran.
For years the regime in Iran turned football into a political weapon. Despite that, we still supported the national team because in our minds it always belonged to the people.
But after the massacre of tens of thousands of their own people in January, everything changed. When a government orders the nationwide extermination of so many, the perception of the national football team also changed. Compounded further by the fact that top players with a history of speaking out were not selected.
For Iranians now at World Cup 2026 every match is a reminder of the souls lost, every game an opportunity to unite against tyranny.
As a lover of the game I understand the power of football. Next Tuesday then, when the team plays New Zealand, we support the team but Iranians are asking the world to stand with them to send a message: that human beings will no longer tolerate the unique barbarism and evil fascism of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which is neither Islamic nor a republic, which has hijacked the spirit of the team and taken the country hostage.
And the symbol of this protest is the Lion & Sun flag. The emblem predates Islam by thousands of years, with roots in ancient Achaemenid and Sasanian symbolism. The lion represents strength and kingship, while the sun symbolizes the ancient Iranian god of light and eternity. Despite the ban by FIFA, it is the spirit of the majority of Iranian people. Please support it.
Two different boys. Two different videos. Two different locations.
But yet the identical scripts.
Word for word. Every word. Identical tears. Identical act…
And the entire world fell for it.

What did ancient Persia sound like around 1400 BC?
🎶 Hear it here! 🔊 Sarah Parsaei performs on the Arjan harp — a historic instrument with roots going back nearly 3,400 years — in Tehran, Iran.
FEMINISM. ISLAMISM. MARXISM.
Three ideologies. One goal.
They don’t appear to have anything in common. In fact they seem to contradict each other completely.
Feminists fight for women’s freedom. Islamism oppresses women. Marxism wants to abolish class. Islamism has a clear class system based on gender, faith and ethnicity.
And yet they march side by side in the streets.
And yet the same politicians defend all three.
And yet the same media applauds.
Why?
Because they share one common enemy.
The free Western civilisation. The Christian cultural heritage. The traditional family. The national identity. The individual freedom.
Everything that each of them - in their own way - exists to dismantle.
FEMINISM started as a legitimate fight for women’s rights. The right to vote. Equal pay. Freedom from violence.
But it didn’t stop there.
It became a war against the very idea of being a woman. Against motherhood. Against femininity. Against men. Against the structure of the family. It told an entire generation of young women that their natural instincts were oppression - and that they were only free if they lived like men.
It made women compete instead of create. Isolate instead of unite. Hate the masculine instead of love the complementary.
The result? A generation of lonely men and women who cannot find each other. Falling birth rates. Families that are never formed. A people that is slowly ceasing to reproduce itself.
MARXISM promised freedom through equality. It delivered mass graves.
Everywhere it has held power - the Soviet Union, China, Cuba, Venezuela, Cambodia, North Korea - the result is the same. Millions dead. Families destroyed. Churches closed. God replaced by the state. The individual sacrificed on the altar of the collective.
Today Marxism has not disappeared. It has just changed its clothes.
Now it is called identity politics. Woke. Critical race theory. Social justice. It is no longer working class against capitalists. It is victim groups against oppressors. But the mechanism is the same - divide people. Set them against each other. Remove the common foundation. And let the state fill the void.
ISLAMISM is the most obvious. It does not hide its agenda.
It wants to replace democracy with sharia. Individual freedom with collective submission. Women’s rights with control. Freedom of speech with blasphemy laws. The Western rule of law with divine law that cannot be voted away.
And it waits patiently. It uses our freedom to restrict our freedom. It uses our democracy to undermine our democracy. It uses our tolerance to abolish our tolerance.
And then there is the most perverse part of all.
The Western left - which claims to fight for women, for homosexuals, for freedom of speech and human dignity - actively defends the only one of the three ideologies that consistently and executively oppresses everything they claim to fight for.
That is not naivety. That is not incompetence.
It is a shared project. Conscious or unconscious.
Dismantle the family. Remove God. Isolate the individual. Make it dependent on the state. And then open the doors to an ideology that offers structure, community and meaning - to those who have lost all of that in the Western void.
That is what is happening.
And the only thing that can stand against it is what we are in the process of forgetting.
A strong family. A living faith. A people that knows what it is - and is not afraid to say it.❤️🔥✝️🪽
Solve the riddle:
It’s January 10th. The sun has just begun to crest the horizon in Tehran. The orange half-light and fog of dawn reveal rivers of yesterday’s blood, hesitating to disappear down the street drains. A task force has been sent to clean up the carnage before images and videos capture the memory of the worst atrocity of our time. The directive urges to work fast and quiet, while the internet blackout still conceals the rotting corpses and charred remains of yesterday’s children, teenagers, and parents yearning for a future. Any future.
By the time the birds have begun their morning song, the uniformed sanitation crew have descending ominously into the streets. Hundreds, no, thousands of them. Only, they are nondescript. Where did they come from? Unclear. Who are they? Nobody knows.
Can you solve the riddle? Who has made it their job to erase the blood of Iranians?
A) The IRGC
B) Islamist media
C) Western leftists
D) The woke Reich
E) All of the above. All the enemies of humanity, merging into a single unit of terror enforcement and cover up.
Answer in the comments below.
It's another horrific day.
The regime in Iran has tortured Hesam Alaadin, an ordinary father of twins, to death for owning a Starlink dish. His body was just handed to his family. Hesam was arrested in January and suffered for months.
Read that again: Tortured to death for simply being online.
Regime thugs are hunting for Starlink users door to door, because they don't want the truth about the reality in Iran to come out. The IRGC is turning the country into North Korea, a nation sized prison camp.
It can't go on like this. Iranians must have the internet restored by any means.
I am asking all tech giants to please think of a way.

🚨 TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY has entered the Iranian regime chat.
The Dept of Education shoved $183 MILLION American tax dollars into the sweaty hands of Texas State University.
Professor Saeed Moshfeghyeganeh arrived in the U.S. from Iran between 2009-2010, after President Obama took over. He teaches a course called, 'Instruction for Physics.'
He appears on campus wearing a keffiyeh, and has been giving speeches through a bullhorn condemning the U.S., the Trump administration, and Israel.
His LinkedIn bio expresses grief over Iranian regime scientists killed in operations attributed to Mossad: "I just saw the news of the assassination of another Iranian scientist by Israel. Killing scientists is a coward action against international laws and and war crime that must be stopped!"
Last month, the university instructed him to remove a sign posted on his office door that invited illegals to seek shelter from ICE enforcement.
He's taken over the campus quad and hosts Islamic prayers.
I have no concrete evidence this professor has U.S. citizenship. Why are we allowing an Iranian regime tentacle near our students?

🚨 The regime is now openly promoting a NIAC-aligned American congresswoman.
Yassamin Ansari is being praised by an Islamic Republic newspaper, Sazandegi, for opposing U.S. pressure on the regime - pushing no real pressure, no regime change, just “diplomacy” that keeps it in power.
She has filed articles of impeachment against U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, accusing him of war crimes related to actions in Iran, a claim that directly advances the regime’s interests in Washington.
She is backed by NIAC and PAAIA, often described as the Islamic Republic’s de facto lobby in American politics, and is increasingly being amplified by regime media.
🚨 American firefighters honor an Iranian firefighter hero killed during protests
A memorial ceremony at the Chesterfield Fire Training Center in Virginia honored Hamid Mahdavi, an Iranian national hero killed by the regime after saving protesters by carrying them to safety.
First responder brotherhood goes beyond borders. 🇮🇷🇺🇸
Her mother was murdered by the Islamic Republic, and Nusha was also shot in the arm and legs.
The resilience of the Iranian people is hard to comprehend. For many of us, losing is NOT an option.
"It is not only about the permanence of names in memory; rather, we feel their presence in every moment and deep within the soul.
In the cells of our being, in the ocean of sorrow and joy, in the words of poetry and the melodies of music, their remembrance keeps flowing like waves.
I ask you, each of you, to be an unextinguishable torch for my mother’s name ♥️"
Here is what the White House is failing to tell you about Iran. Every American needs to understand this.
The Islamists who run Iran are committed to a particular brand of Islamism in which they claim divine mandate from God to destroy both Israel and the United Ststes. They believe the nuclear destruction of Israel and the US will bring back the Mahdi. The Mahdi is a messianic figure, known as ‘the rightly guided one’ who is to bring the world under Islamic rule.
This isn’t some wonky foreign policy detail. This is the deeply held belief of a regime who sees themselves as commanded by Allah to bring about our destruction, and they have invested everything they have in doing just that.
This is the truth today and it will still be true tomorrow. They will wake up and work toward our destruction. We will argue about whether this is even an issue to be resolved.
This war can be won decisively by nations with an understanding of the enemy and the political will to do something about it. It can also be easily lost by western apathy and an unwillingness to see this through.
The path that should be taken is up for debate. What’s not up for debate is the righteousness of opposing this regime.
Now do Canada next.
And let me know how many of these money-exchange business owners came to Canada as "asylum seekers", @MichelleRempel
Since you're so worried about our safety and whatnot.
The bloodthirsty regime in Iran is preparing to commit yet another unforgivable crime.
Reports confirm that at least five sons of Iran who courageously took to the streets on January 8th and 9th—Mohammad Amin Biglari, Shahin Vahedparast Kolowr, Abolfazl Salehi Siavashani, Amirhossein Hatami, Ali Fahim, and potentially more—have been moved from their ward and transferred to an unknown location for likely execution.
These young men are condemned not for anything they did, but because of what they represent. This regime’s sham courts do not seek justice, they seek to terrorize Iran into silence. They will fail.
I call on @drmaisato and @UN_HRC and other international human rights institutions to urgently intervene to save the lives of these innocent young heroes.
🔴Media is completely ignoring this big pro-Trump, pro-Iranian rally happening in DC right now.
Yet they gave wall-to-wall coverage for those fake 'No Kings' protests.
These are real patriots showing up for freedom and Crown Prince @PahlaviReza 🇺🇸🇮🇷🇮🇱
𝗩𝗗𝗛: 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗦 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗣𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗔𝗠𝗘 𝗗𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡.
Victor Davis Hanson has spent fifty years studying how wars end. When he says the tide is turning, it's worth listening to why.
His argument isn't based on what the Pentagon is saying. It's based on how everyone else is behaving.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀. VDH's rule: Europeans never agree to go anywhere near a conflict unless they think the winning side has already been determined. They didn't help in the early days. Now they're starting to move. That movement is not idealism. It's a calculation. They've looked at the battlefield and decided which way this ends.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝗹𝗳 𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗼-𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. The Saudis, the Emiratis, the Qataris — these governments have survived for generations by reading the regional climate with precision. When they expel Iranian military attachés, when they intercept Iranian missiles over their own capitals and say nothing about American strikes, when the UAE reaffirms its $1.4 trillion investment commitment to the United States mid-war — they are not making ideological statements. They are placing bets. And they are betting on the United States.
𝗔𝗹 𝗝𝗮𝘇𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗮. This is the one that should stop you cold. Al Jazeera — the Qatari state media network, historically critical of American military action, the network Tucker Carlson and the anti-war right love to cite against Israel — is now calling the U.S. bombing campaign brilliant and effective, and saying it has been underestimated. When the media outlet of a nation that hosts both the largest American air base in the Middle East and a Hamas political office starts praising American military effectiveness, the message is unmistakable: 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘸𝘦'𝘳𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘸𝘪𝘯.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗹. A-10 Warthogs and Apache helicopter gunships are now flying strike missions in Iranian airspace at will. VDH's point: you only deploy those aircraft when there is effectively no air defense left to threaten them. They are slow, low-flying, close-support platforms. Their presence confirms what the Pentagon has been claiming — Iran has no meaningful air defense remaining.
Iran's strategy now is rope-a-dope. Run out the clock. Wait for American public opinion to shift. Hope the midterms create political pressure on Trump to stop. It is the only play they have left.
VDH's conclusion: if Trump sees it through — and he believes he will — the regime falls. Not in years. 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝗼𝗼𝗻.
𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗼, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝗮𝘆. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮.
