I recently joined @SoccerCoachCast & we discussed a lot around the importance of principles in a game model. Here's my thoughts on a common misconception around what 'playing out' is or how it looks.

Lots of ‘pressing’ practices have 2/3 players chase the ball in a small area against 5/6 stationary opponents who have to get a number of passes then switch play to another box for players to chase again - this replicates very little of the coordinated skills of ‘pressing’ 🧵
