A youth and woman-led organisation contributing towards a just, peaceful, resilient and inclusive society in which youths and women enjoy sustainable peace.
Thank you @kmunemo from @YoungWomenInst for sharing your insights on practice-based knowledge with us this morning at #SVRIForum24.
Feminist practice-based knowledge is 🔑 to end #VAWG !
The arbitrary arrest and torture of Namatai Kwekweza, Robson Chere, Samuel Gwenzi, and Vusumuzi Moyo is a gross violation of their rights. These actions contravene multiple international treaties, including the SADC Principles, ACHPR, UDHR, and ICCPR.
The young women and women were equipped with the skills & tools to boost confidence and self-awareness, & to exercise agency & power to advocate for the realisation of women's constitutional rights.

The fight against Gender based violence shouldn't be seasonal but ongoing. GBV is one of the biggest hurdles to gender equality and equity. Abuse of physical strength is not a sign of superiority rather it shows weakness and insecurity. Let's all fight GBV for a better world.
On this International Women's Day, we recognise & celebrate women from all walks of life. Achieving gender equality & women's empowerment is crucial & can only be done through collective efforts of all. Let's unite in shaping a better now & future for all women!

Glad to have facilitated a conversation on UN Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth Peace and Security at the @YWAction4Peace Training of Trainers today. We must make peace, tolerance and youth participation fashionable and the centre of our conversations.
@YWAction4Peace@tapiwa_chiriga@Yonadzim@NAYOZimbabwe@YetTrust@WCOZIMBABWE Thank you for your wonderful training. It was very insightful and provided valuable information on how to undertake advocacy initiatives. Your presentation on the frameworks of UNSCR was especially interesting, and your stages for building momentum were eye-opening.
@tapiwa_chiriga explaining positive and negative peace and the nexus between peace and security and young people. "Positive peace is guided by eight pillars and when these pillars are achieved, a community is said to be peaceful"

Femicide is rooted in patriarchy through the promotion of harmful norms and beliefs about masculinity that assert male control and power and discourages 'unacceptable' women's behaviours through violence.
Ending femicide requires challenging & dismantling patriarchal systems.

I am happy to announce the establishment of the Youth Peace & Security Resource Center- Cameroon by @loyocameroon. I'm happy that several years of working as a YPS practitioner & researcher have inspired the creation of this physical/virtual one-stop-shop and learning centre for young people & stakeholders working or supporting the participation of young people in peacebuilding in Cameroon. YPS-YCR will create a safe space to advance the #YPS agenda through knowledge creation, collection, preservation and dissemination as well as capacity building. Thankful for the support from @SFCG_ and funding from @UEauCameroun@Jmchataigner . Grateful to @Networkforyouth@UNFPACameroon@FMuhumed@AUC_PAPS@RhuksA for your guidance.
