@koshercockney And yeah, it's only an apartment ad, but even that's significant now, with all the hate Israel and Jews get. It just goes to show how dire the situation is that even an apartment ad counts as major advocacy.
@koshercockney I guess it's time to forgive her for stuff like the Goop and the awful Marvel movies, she's doing real good here and she's standing up for the our/her people in a way all too few Hollywood actors have the guts to do. Kudos, Ms Paltrow!
@akintoyounotme@koshercockney Her mother's white rather than Jewish, so it makes sense she looks significantly white too. She looks more Jewish now than she did when she was young. That sort of change can happen over a lifetime. (I'm a Jew who's been studying Jewish (and other) ethnic looks for decades.)
Even the UN admits it now!
A new UN report documents Hamas publicly executing, torturing, and maiming Palestinians in Gaza: blindfolded men shot in public squares, beatings with metal pipes, deliberately broken bones, and public punishments designed to spread fear.
For years, many tried to portray Hamas as freedom fighters. The reality is much simpler: Hamas terrorizes Israelis and Palestinians alike.
@danielthemate@katzen_aaron I saw a bit from that. The antisemitism he received in the pub was pretty disturbing. I forget what they said to him exactly, but I remember it was foully antisemitic. I think Hitler might have come into it.
"From my Māori perspective, a key point is that there was always a continuous Jewish presence in the land; they kept the fires burning, and that is what indigeneity looks like to us"
Dr. Sheree Trotter is an indigenous scholar and activist. She spoke at a first-of-its-kind conference called Building Indigenous‑Jewish Friendship, held in Toronto in conjunction with the annual Walk with Israel march.
She called Israel, "the most successful land‑back project, the greatest decolonization project."
“Increasingly, indigenous identity is being treated as a metaphor, a branding exercise, a political strategy. Indigeneity isn’t any of that; it is a lived reality rooted in specific people and place.” Karen Restoule, an Ojibwe from Dokis First Nation, who is director of Indigenous affairs at the Macdonald-Laurier Institute, spoke at the conference, too.
Why do Western activists insist they know more about indigeneity than indigenous people themselves?
Re Belfast: I get that the attack by that Sudanese man was horrendous, and he should face maximum penalty under the law, but we can't have people's homes burnt down just because they're black. That's bonkers stuff. Society needs to rein itself in and look where it's going.
Editor @mrjohnc, a UN/UNRWA-linked Wikipedia insider, edited @GwynethPaltrow's page to frame “Gaza genocide” as fact and smear her for working with Israel on a project outside any disputed territory.
The question is why individuals tied to politicized institutions are allowed to shape public reputations on Wikipedia, and who funds, coordinates, and legitimizes this biased work.

No, Francesca Albanese, antisemitism does not include discrimination against Arabs.
The term "anti-Semitism" was invented by German agitator Wilhelm Marr in 1879, to rebrand ancient hatred for Jews as socially acceptable racial "science." The eugenics movement was in its infancy, just coming into fashion.
Anti-Semitism referred, specifically, to Jews. That is why the Nazis murdered 6 million of us in the most industrialized genocide in history.
Notably, the Nazis collaborated with Arab leaders, and hoped to bring the Final Solution to Arab lands. In Tunisia, Morocco, Libya, and Algeria, they opened brutal work camps where thousands of Jews died. Arabs and Europeans alike staffed these camps and enacted immense cruelty on Jewish prisoner-slaves.
In Iraq, Hitler's ideas were broadcast over the radio. During a brief lapse in British control, a 2-day pogrom unleashed brutal violence on Baghdad's Jewish population. My grandmother Hela survived it. The event became known as the Farhud. Her family fled Iraq for the country you villainize constantly as a career.
Not all Arabs participated actively in enacting Nazi policies. But many did. The Nazi incursion into Arab lands and the policies they enacted there against Jews did not prompt an organized resistance from Arab inhabitants. The Nazis were defeated in North Africa and the Middle East by the Allied forces.
Francesca Albanese has demonstrated her hate for Jews many times.
Now she has demonstrated her extreme incompetence.
Someone who does not understand basic elements of the modern history of the Middle East cannot, and must not, participate in shaping its future.

In the cosmology of hatred that is antizionism, Israel isn't merely a country that is capable of wrongdoing, but an "entity" that is inherently evil and incapable of being reformed
Antizionists utilize libels in order to instill hatred not only against Israel, but against Jews worldwide who support Israel's right to exist in freedom and security
The end goal of antizionism is not human rights
In fact, it's the complete opposite
Antizionism is a genocidal hate movement
