@MarianinaRakka@CedScherer@_psyguy @patilindrajeets "I don't want to hide my data. I want you (reviewer) and readers to be able to quickly determine whether or not my data violate critical assumptions. I believe a plot will do this better than an obscure test (or no test at all). I can include a detailed description in a footnote"
@Atul_Gawande This is the best news I've heard since Saturday morning :) I'm absolutely delighted to hear you will have a seat at the table @Atul_Gawande
@JanMultmeier @zachweinberg I almost never meet other Nathaniels. On my first day at Flatiron I met 2 Nates, 1 Nathan, and introduced myself as Nathaniel. I wondered if it's all part of @zachweinberg plan to start a Nathaniel army and this tweet seems eerily like an early battle cry. We. R. Ready.
@birkenkrahe Thanks! I quickly skimmed through it and while I agree with many of his points, I fully believe that the tidyverse provides essential tools for the modern R data scientist. My ideal teaching order would be tidyverse - base R - advanced base R - advanced tidyverse (.e.g.; purrr)
Attention R pirates! My book YaRrr! The Pirate's Guide to R https://t.co/EdCtkjU3CK, was written (almost) completely in old-school base-R -- with all its benefits and headaches. Should I write a new version that is full on #tidyverse? 100 comments = Yes ๐๐ดโโ ๏ธ
@tnmrppl Try installing BayesFactor directly with install.packages("BayesFactor"). This usually fixes this problem on Windows machines (where it often frustratingly comes up!)
@katie_riddoch Ah yes, the original pdf version of the book is no longer in development (I think that was where the link you had was going). Stick with the HTML version at https://t.co/EdCtkjU3CK or the respective PDF version here https://t.co/IVeB1wQtAJ :)
