Transgenderism wasn't part of her story to begin with, it was sexism in the workforce, so making her trans makes no sense as she would shoot herself in the foot, and messing with that messes with Kanji's setup too. @MoreLimitless @TheGamers_Dojo 2 had a few things against it, being an early yet very ambitious Switch title that bit off a bit more than it could chew, which wasn't helped by that Monolith was also heavily involved with BotW at the time, so the team was spread fairly thin from what I remember.
