HS Pitchers: 👇

I've watched a lot of Regionals and Super Regionals the last two weeks.

I've seen 95-98 mph heaters.

I've seen 86-92 mph heaters.

You know what I've seen from almost ALL of them?

Pitchability.

Command.
Movement.
Quality secondaries.
Conviction.
Competitiveness.

Velocity gets attention. Certainly. BUT pitchability gets outs.

Find a program, a coach, or trainer, that will help YOU build both. ⚾️🙌

Upperclassman-Your job is to be a leader! Help the younger guys! Your role is NOT, I repeat NOT to be the cool guy that makes the underclassman's lives miserable. Represent yourself, your parents, your coaches, and your program the RIGHT WAY!

Fear holds so many athletes back.

Fear of hitting a batter.
Fear of throwing balls.
Fear of giving up hits.
Fear of getting hit by the ball.
Fear of moving too fast.
Fear of throwing too fast.

You must let go of fear to reach your potential.

[Kevin DeShazo @KevinDeShazo]

Your effort is a choice.
Your attitude is a choice.
Your actions are a choice.
Your communication is a choice.
Your leadership is a choice.
Your level of belief is a choice.
Your commitment is a choice.

Getting better starts with making better choices. Take ownership.

You want a role model? Look no further than Stephen Vogt. This man will retire tomorrow. He will never put on another pair of shin guards or chest protector. That doesn’t mean there isn’t work to be done TODAY. THIS is how you Big League. Some heroes wear capes. Some wear cups.

To be great is to be misunderstood.

The sooner you stop caring about the outside noise, the sooner success will call.

If YOU'RE not OBSESSED w/ the game of Baseball, skill work, and the weight room...

...don't say you want to play at the next-level.

Obsession beats talent 💯🙌

As the summer winds down, here are a couple thoughts for PSA's:

1. Way too many palms up guys. Umpires are human & make mistakes. Sometimes they are really bad. We have eyes, we can also see it. However, that doesn't mean you need to complain & whine every call. Just compete.
