When I picked up my son, I talked about this new.
"You know what? Daddy is out of job. "

With the rapid rise in the popularity of wrappers, the hackathon sought to refocus attention on other vital aspects like fine-tuning and infra. Especially timely given the recent claims that fine-tuned Llama 2 outperforms GPT-4 and GPT-3.5 now being open for fine-tuning!

@petergyang The challenge with summaries is that they often lose some context. Snipd can be handy at times, and I've also been using the Overcast app (not affiliated), which can send audio directly to Otter for a full transcript.

Kind of a roundabout way, but it gets the job done!

Making product decisions & maintaining roadmaps aren't always full-time gigs - those can be driven by executive consensus and agile leadership.

The future ? Mainly execution, notably marketing. PM work is evolving.

🚨 Airbnb just eliminated its traditional product management function.

This is one of the boldest experiments in product management we have seen in quite some time.

→ Who’s going to own the roadmap?
→ Who will cross-functional teams collaborate with?
→ Who will be responsible for writing the team’s charter, focus problems, and metrics?

Brian has been posting Twitter threads of each of Airbnb’s two most recent product releases. So it sounds like the executives are re-taking over the roadmap.

And, presumably, engineering managers and designers will split the other tasks. It will be an interesting experiment to watch.
