“Adding is favoured over subtracting in problem solving”
So many problems related to this: loss aversion; over-hiring; stupid M&A; too much higher education (greece); bad bundling/unbundling; tasteless interior design... https://t.co/HjdUoys2bN
@nikesharora Great points, especially #3. But if inline inspection is the most important piece of defence, ZScaler is #1 in an agentic world and you are maybe #2. You'll both do well.
Bill you're underplaying it. The ignorance is even more willful considering his experience with FTX.
Everyone is flattering this guy.
The reality is from the looks of his portfolio he didn't even have a passing intuition for correlation, risk, or probabilities, let alone understand the psychology of markets. CRWV and NBIS are the same exact trade and he was a top 10 shareholder in both.
To have a book like that and use no leverage burnt enough people in 2021.
To have a book like that with leverage is stupid to the degree that it actually becomes clinically fascinating.
@TMTLongShort The reason it's wrong it's because of you're gonna spend 30bn then you may as well build the gigawatt yourself of nvda chips which we know they can get via singapore and other ways or with 30bn equivalent of Huawei chips in a mega cluster
Anthropic wouldn’t exist without Google open sourcing the transformers papers. Google could have filed for a patent and gained an AI monopoly. Anthropic trying to eliminate open source when it is built on open source is ironic and not in a fun way.
@finkd Mark is the cost breakthrough down to model algorithm design or your data centre/inference design choices?
Or neither, just tolerating lower margin than extortionate anthropic margin?
THEOLOGY DUJOUR
Sunni Islam is a lot about God
Shia Islam is a lot about Ali
Apostolic Christianity (Catholicism & Orthodoxy) is a lot about Mary Mother of God
Evangelical Protestantism is mostly about Jesus Christ
@nntaleb Yes, and china is aggressively capitalist in ethos in the PUBLIC sector, applying intense competition to determine winners in state entities, local authorities etc
Al you're not bright enough to run. It is unserious of you to suggest you stand for working people, and yet not once in your political career propose that the tax on work (income tax) should be lower than the tax on wealth/assets/capital. If you support a tax system where the highest of all the tax rates is the tax on work, you don't stand for working people. Duh! Nearly everything you've every thought about in politics is a second derivative of this system and youve probably never even realised it.
We're gonna abundance so much, you may even get tired of abundance. And you'll say, please, please, it's too much abundance. We can't take it anymore. Mr. Musk, it's too much, and I will say no it isn't, we have to keep abundance, we have to abundance more, we're gonna abundance more!
@cleoabram Bro designs one car and is talking about "humanity" like he's Aristotle. Then they wonder why normal people don't vote Democrat anymore. Speak plainly!!!!
Thank you. The important part is zeroing out taxes on the bottom half. Best way to put money in someone’s pocket is to not take it out in the first place. Bottom half is only 3% of total tax revenue. But it’s very meaningful to that person. Zero it out.
