On July 22, 2026, the Abiy regime carried out a drone strike targeting St. Arsema Monastery, located near the Abay Bridge in the Mekane Selam area of Amhara Region. According to reports from the ground, the strike killed multiple monks and nuns, and caused extensive damage to the monastery.

The monastery, a religious site, was struck during the afternoon. In addition to the casualties, the attack destroyed monastery property and infrastructure.

ዓለም በቃኝ ብለው የመነኑ ገዳማውያን ጭምር ለመጨፍጨፍ ርህራሔ የሌለው አረመኔው የብልፅግና አገዛዝ ተመሳሳይ የዘር ማጥፋት ወንጀሎችን በቤተ ክህነቷ አባቶች፣ መናንያን እና ምዕመናን ላይ እንዲሁም በአማራ ህዝብ ላይ በጅምላ መፈፀም ከጀመረ ዓመታትን አስቆጥሯል።

ይህንን ስርዓት መታገል ሀገርን እና ህዝብን ማዳን ነው።
