In Arab and Muslim countries, Islam is a profound source of pride. It forms the core of your traditions and identity. For Iranians, however, our pride lies elsewhere: in the concept of “Iran” itself. Our identity is rooted in our ancient civilization, our millennia of history, and our extraordinary achievements in literature and culture.

We Iranians were a nation when the concept of a “nation” was still unknown to the world. We had an established state at a time when such structures did not exist elsewhere. And among our many contributions to humanity, one of our greatest gifts is the Persian language—a unique treasure that has carried our culture, values, and identity through the ages.

You say, “One good thing, Iran is out of the scene,” and I agree with you. It is indeed preferable for Iran not to interfere. But I would go further: it would be even better if you, along with your allies in the Arab world, resolved your own problems. These issues have nothing to do with us, nor with our priorities and challenges on the Iranian plateau.
