I recently had an accident on Chennai BLR highway. Two wheeler came out of nowhere and from the wrong side and hit me. I called the police to the situation and called ambulance for the two wheeler ppl. Yet Police filed FIR on their behalf as if they called him and they totally reversed the FIR as to what happened. Didn’t even mention that I was the first person to call the police. When asked “You are the bigger vehicle. Just pay the fine and go. The other party will ge money rom your insurance!!”

The two wheeler guy neither had insurance nor DL nor was wearing helmet. None mattered to the police nor was it mentioned in the FIR. Only thing mentioned was “I was driving rash”. because they were locals and I was “IT guy from Bangalore”. Yes later they asked me what profession Im in and their behavior changes based on that. This system is a joke. My crime was me not having a dash cam on my car. For no mistake of mine I’m dealing with a court case now for what I should be getting compensation for.
