during the coldest days in hengdian, at 03.30 am, when the crew needed 20-30 minutes to change camera positions. he is already working 12 hours, would quietly sit on the roadside steps, wrapped in a down jacket and hugging his legs, waiting patiently.

he wouldn't go to his RV to warm up, trying his best to save everyone's time. he always responded gently to anyone who greeted him. such kindness and hard work deserve to be seen and respected.

“Masculinity” has never been just about outward appearance. Of course, I don’t deny the existence of rugged men. Everyone has different styles, and they’re all good. But it has to be said that true “strength” and being a “real man” are, on top of appearance, about being gentle and sincere toward the people around you.

What I saw was that he treated the staff the same way he treats friends, without any airs, and with a very high level of cooperation.

What I personally experienced was his professional and patient cooperation. Outside of work, he would buy ice cream for everyone on the team, check whether I, a photographer who only worked with him for two days, had sat down to eat, and even help cut pizza for me.

He’s also very kind to fans. While in Florence, whenever he encountered fans who came running over, as long as time allowed, he would take photos with them. Because of his height, he would also turn slightly sideways toward female fans in a very gentlemanly way.

Whether it’s him or his team, they are among the kindest and most respectful toward photographers that I’ve encountered in my career.

The so-called “foundation makeup” styling is simply a reflection of respecting and accommodating the client’s requirements. Every male artist in the entertainment industry needs makeup and styling, it’s hard work. There’s really no need to put anyone else down; everyone is handsome and great.

I’m not a fan.

But I am willing to speak up for a man who is truly gentle and strong.
