Quand je parle d’indépendance européenne, voici ce que j’attends du Sommet européen qui débute demain :

1. La fin de notre vassalité heureuse. Alors oui bien sûr, on doit travailler avec la Chine et les Etats-Unis. Oui, on doit commercer avec eux. Oui, on doit se retrouver sur la défense d’intérêts que nous pouvons avoir en commun, les terres rares par exemple. Mais on ne doit pas être à leur botte. Jamais. Pas aujourd’hui, pas demain.

2. La poursuite de notre soutien à l’Ukraine parce qu’il en va de notre propre sécurité.

3. L’accélération de notre agenda de compétitivité et d’innovation. Et c’est un point central qu’a montré l’affaire Anthropic ce weekend : l’accès aux technologies de pointe est une nouvelle forme de guerre économique que nous livrent les Etats-Unis ou la Chine. Pour y répondre, nous n’avons pas trente six solutions : nous devons compter sur nous-mêmes, sur notre souveraineté technologique, avec des entreprises européennes de pointe dans l’intelligence artificielle et dans tous les secteurs d’avenir.

4. Pour que cela soit possible, il faut de l’argent. Il nous faut un budget européen à la hauteur de nos ambitions et une vraie politique de libération des capitaux européens.
