Whats with the terrible WiFi in the new @CostaCoffee Drive Thru in Market Harborough UK? In practical terms I needed to open @discord which needed a ~100MB update that did not download in 30+ mins. Zero attempts to control congestion, 4000ms+ latency. Basically bermuda triangle..
@linusgsebastian@AmazingZoltan At least in the UK basic things needed for day to day life are VAT exempt. So you could earn up to the first tax threshold and spend a lot of it without paying any tax. Not accounting for tax paid by the producers of those basic prooducts though...
Anyone else experiencing a strange @btbusinesscare fault in the past 24 hours? I have at least half a dozen sites where connection appears to be up but not all traffic is flowing. Bouncing PPP session is fixing it, temporarily. Business as usual process wants to send engineers
@cortina@EE 7547 is tr069 - they use it to remotely manage the routers and its been open on every BT hub for a really really long time without any major issue. Connections to the service are authenticated via cryptographic means. Only way to make it go away is use a third party router
@wizzouk 70% of IMAP connections are via IPv6 now; though my rate may be skewed because most email customers also take networks where ive done v6 by default since 2018 ish. I see significant penetration of v6 in mobile networks. Cant easily calculate smtp, though google and MS both doit
