My grandfather, John White was a Vineyard pastor and friends with Wimber, Deere and Cain. He was, at the time, pulling Deere in to the ministry and also writing a book: “When the Spirit Comes in Power.”

My father was a worship leader at a Vineyard church plant, but was also secretly an addict and was sleeping with prostitutes. Leadership didn’t tell my mother, endangering her health. He was “so anointed.”

When he became physically abusive she left, but then she got a call from my grandparents and was told that Paul Cain said my father was going to be healed, and had been shown the “day and hour” —but she had to have faith for their marriage and take him back.

He was not healed. Paul was lying to tie my grandfather to belief in “power healing.” I was sexually abused. My father went psychotic and jumped out of a moving car. We never saw him again.

My grandfather didn’t reevaluate. He wanted it too badly. He told Deere that Cain was a true prophet, despite the cost of that prophecy.

My grandfather finished his book encouraging the movement. It’s dedicated to me and my mother—the ultimate slap in the face. For decades she carried the burden of wondering if she just didn’t believe hard enough.

I’m glad she chose me over faith in Cain, because the cost of belief in men like him—men like, Bob Jones, Bickle, Joyner, and Bentley—men who chase power? The cost is ME.

The fathers have produced sons like themselves, and so I will make sure every leader who chooses to keep platforming these men has to look me in the eye, because I will NOT stand silent while other women and children and men are brutalized.

Men like Paul lie to trap families in false hope for the sake of “the movement” — because who would believe in a movement where the founders children weren’t even healed? “Wisdom is proved by her children.”

Paul needed my grandfather to finish that book, so he needed him to HAVE to believe for the sake of his son. Because he needed my grandfather to convince Deere, who would then write HIS book.

That’s what your revivals are too: every year, a new carrot on a stick to prop up men chasing power with the bodies of the youth who build their platforms.

I am one of the “nameless and faceless” generation who was sacrificed on the altar of “power from on high,” and we have come back to tell all of you that power corrupted you.

When will the hearts of your generation turn towards your children?

Does it trouble anyone that David was called a man after God’s heart BEFORE he became known, leader of an army, fav of the crowds and finally, a king?

Does it bother anyone that quoting 1 Sam 13:14 or Acts 13:22 is NOT about his moral character but about initial call to an identity of God who sees greatness in the small, potential in the unknown?

Does it trouble anyone that David as the most loved king who made his people worship-centered nation, covered up his sin, and not because he felt bad about Bathsheba, but bc he was caught?

Does it trouble anyone that the story of David’s last days are not added to the proverbial ‘guy after God’s heart’? The years hevspent in misery bc his own sons had to fight each other for their sister’s dignity (David’s daughter raped by his son) while David did nothing? Does it bother anyone that there are no sermons preached about Tamar, the raped, disgraced and discarded daughter of the king who is preached still allegedly ‘after God’s heart?’

Does it bother anyone that Judas was NOT raping women disciples but is made an analogies vague Apostle who also was morally wrong?
There are differences in moral theology.

Does it trouble anyone that we, the Church, are sick and tired of abusing the Scriptures to excuse the gifted untouchables who were great in other popular leaders’ eyes while committing unspeakable sins and getting away with it?

Does it trouble anyone that the victims of clergy sexual abuse are compared to the vengeful leftists, ideological marxists, cancel culture architects?

I can go on.

Betrayal (in the case of the abused that's how they see it) is so hard that it requires a lot of grace of God, maturity, and processing, sometimes assisted by therapy, at all times helped by some kind of support on all fronts. It is typical of the abuser or their advocates to blame the victims and their advocates for being resentful, bitter, unforgiving and not Christ-like, not edifying. etc.
It is infuriating when the advocates of the abuser whom they obv don't see as such for various reasons, demand forgiveness, 'fair treatment', offer Bible examples to gaslight or spiritually bypass them. The pressure put on the abused to be calm and not angry, or fair and not too vocal, to stop being 'such a victim' and 'trust the Lord', to follow the due process is scandalous. The requirement for them is to be more holy than the accused.

Very often the abused victim or survivor will not start even realizing they have been hurt until the sense the betrayal in their bodies, memories, feelings or thoughts hits them. Very often they do experience it but there is no adequate expression formed yet. The moment of realization that what happened was betrayal, spikes up the courage to make a step toward justice, forgiveness and even reconciliation (if applicable).
Admitting "I have been betrayed' is the first step to healing. The first step from chaos into rightly felt emotions. The first step into self-advocacy.
Abused people are betrayed people. They need support that will lead them to clarity, healing, and peace of heart.

Betrayals are about choosing the imaginary self over real communion.
Betrayals are huge because they destroy relationships on a molecular level.
Where you thought there was a connection, there is a huge cave where skeletons are buried.
Where you thought there was a common purpose, there are coins on the table, selling you to those who believed another.
Where you thought there was a history of friendship and trust, there is a lie that defends itself with pretending.

Betrayal leads to the cross
There is no way around it
Molecules are pulled apart
The only stable thing is the Body on that cross
The world will spin around it from now on

New York Times reporters Brian M. Rosenthal and Julie Tate have just published this new article: “ A Push for More Organ Transplants is Putting Donors at Risk.”

They document the MANY cases where organ procurement pushed to harvest the organs of people who were still alive. For example:

“In 2022, when she was 38 and homeless, Ms. Gallegos was hospitalized and went into a coma. Doctors at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque told her family she would never recover.

Her relatives agreed to donation, but as preparations began, they saw tears in her eyes. Their concerns were dismissed, according to interviews with the family and eight hospital workers. Donation coordinators said the tears were a reflex. (Tears can be an involuntary response to irritants.)

On the day of the planned donation, Ms. Gallegos was taken to a pre-surgery room, where her two sisters held her hands. A doctor arrived to withdraw life support. Then a sister announced she had seen Ms. Gallegos move. The doctor asked her to blink her eyes, and she complied. The room erupted in gasps.

Still, hospital workers said, the procurement organization wanted to move forward. A coordinator said it was just reflexes and suggested morphine to reduce movements. The hospital refused. Instead, workers brought her back to her room, and she made a full recovery.”

Organs can only be taken from donors who are still biologically alive. Refuse to participate in this unethical system.
